I like that the video starts with the button working. Classic Twilight Zone twist. The little dot he used to put the iPad to sleep is what I have been doing, it’s worth looking up as a bandaid while you prepare for the big replacement or repair. My son has chewed on the rubber case and none of the power and volume buttons respond or even move. Now, the screen is not working, so I removed the case to clean it and discovered the seal of the screen and the case has a gap. Off to watch a different video on the little lines that we had seen in the past few days.
I replaced my ipad 6 power buttons I opened ipad and found the flex cable between power and volume switch was completely separated must of been opened before and cut I guess 🤔🤔🤔

It was probably that someone try to pry the flex cable out like the LCD and Digitizer instead of unplug like the home button cable.
