    Hi I was Mufasa in this play and just to the viewers, I know we didn't have a broadway level of play and our costumes could of been better but we are a small middle school on a small island in the pacific and for the time and budget we had we all did our very best so just try to reframe from hating too much

    guys try not to get to triggered by the hate comments. it's mostly little kids who have no filter and are insecure about their own production. just try and ignore it - they're basically intentionally trying to aggravate people.

      Ok calm down. We get it, you have better props than this tiny school that is SERIOUSLY underfunded. Did anyone ask? No. I was Rafiki in my production and I was told I was the best person on our stage, we had amazing props, the entire school came to watch it in our huge multi-thousand dollar auditorium, and all of our actors can actually act, but I dont bring down other school productions. This school is my third and hopefully last school Ive moved to. I know what its like putting on a play in your cafeteria and having people laugh at how crappy it is. These people actually enjoyed themselves on stage and youre just berating them? Calm down. I hope your production goes well, but damn learn some manners

      @missamericano 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shiloh Pintor, Why would you go hate on their play, two wrongs don't make a right. Besides, why do you choose to respond to every hate comment with more hate? Try fixing the problem rather than making it worse.

    • @gwen9486
      @gwen9486 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shiloh Pintor okay listen dude, it is a pretty good show and there will be people who like it, but there will also be people who don't. Ive been acting for eight years, part of being an actor/actress is taking critiscm from directors, fellow actors, and your peers (audience). If you cant deal with the hate comments, and you just reply with more hate, well i suggest you change your attitude :) or dont read comments?? Hate to be negative and stuff but taking criticism is a part of acting it'll always be here. Instead of reacting with more hate and being defensive- maybe try "Im sorry you feel that way" or dont reply at all, then you use the criticism to make yourself better.

    This it is illegal to have mufasa and scar female you broke the law, our school is going to be doing this musical and out teacher told us so straight from the book.

    • @mariazierolf
      @mariazierolf 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brooke Richardson oh my gosh, really? That's not the smartest thing to say - both shows I did (I've done this show twice) had Scar as a girl, and one cast had Mufasa as a girl. It's simply because most theatres don't have enough boys.

    • @shadoweve3172
      @shadoweve3172 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As Scar of this play and as a female, I would like to say that girls play guys roles all the time. It is not illegal and in the books it does not say anything about Scar or Mufasa having to be played by guys.

    • @brookerichardson5573

      This is the requirements of Scar and Mufasa, straight from www.mtishows.com/disneys-the-lion-king-jr
      Mufasa
      The strong, honorable, and wise lion who leads the Pridelands. Mufasa should command respect onstage and also show tenderness with his son, Simba. Cast a mature actor who can convincingly portray the king.
      Gender: Male
      Vocal range top: C5
      Vocal range bottom: B3
      Scar
      The antagonist of the show, overcome with jealousy of his brother, Mufasa, and nephew, Simba. Coldhearted and wickedly intelligent, he will stop at nothing to become king of the Pridelands. Cast a mature performer who can bring out this villain's dark side while handling Scar's sarcastic sense of humor. As his solos can be spoken, opt for an actor over a singer.
      Gender: Male
      Vocal range top: A4
      Vocal range bottom: A3
