I'm impressed with how clean the wave form was. Definitely adequate for doing basic functionality checks!

You use GND to move the flat line to a known position on the Y axis. That way you can easily see the DC-levels in a complex signal.

Will get mine tomorrow, exactly what I need for my hobbyist stuff. Of course it is not pro grade, but for a quick look whether you have a signal and the maxmimum and minimum signal level, which is pretty much all I need it for, absolutely perfect!

Got mine, and it is exactly what I have needed. (I need it to debug out a PS/2 trackball), I finally was able to get it right to have the device sending the signals, no chance without the oscilloscope. While the thing is rather basic, it does what it does fairly well. Not too bad for 40 bucks, given the normal prices for oscilloscopes, and it is small. However, peak voltage seems to be limited to 100 v or so, so it really is mostly for home electronics tinkering and hobbyists. But hey, you cannot beat the price if you just need to have a quick look at signals!

Thanks for your video. Can you use these tools to test car batteries, circuits and fuses? I have Quimat brand

Thanks for sharing this video and your thoughts. You idea of Velcroing a 9v battery on back or side vs having the AC power .

I got this oscilloscope last week. It looks funny for the money. But the included manual is really "simple" feels like there's missing a lot and even can't find out how to calibrate it.
On the internet is also not much info to be found. Well actually it is for similar devices but which is running different firmware.
So still figuring out how this thing works.

You'll be able to see if you have signal or not, but would need a larger buffer to see full frames.

For automotive use it’s great when you don’t need the big boys but don’t like it because has no internal battery. Out of 5 stars I give it a 3

Yeah it really needs an internal battery. I stuck a 9v on the back of it with double sided tape to make it more portable 😅

Probably is. All these similar devices are clones of each other.

It really does, only the firmware looks different. But maybe the firmware on this device is updated already, actually don't know for sure haha

How about test car amps for distortion and setting head unit to amp levels.
