It's already a masterpiece when Calum wrote this for solo guitar in the first place, but Don Ross even took this piece to the higher level of beauty. IMHO Don Ross is the best player for duo-play, no doubt.

I agree completely. I fell in love with his Ebon Coast duet performance with Andy McKee. It's all about filling the spaces that feel best to you, and he feels a lot musically. The man is incredible.

Just... pure delight. TH-cam somehow brought this back around in front of me, years after I first listened to these wonderful gents’ duet album. Calum’s composition is melodic, airy, funky in places, groovin’... all at the same time. And it is brought to life in magnificent fashion by the deft musical touch and extraordinary chemistry between the two of them. I can understand why Don is pleased and proud of this collab. An understated, sweet masterpiece of expression and connection. I’m an admiring fan of both of them, for life.

These two have Mastered Storytelling with their fingers, dancing across the fret boards, effortlessly hitting the sweets spots as they pluck harmonic's and then dive right back in the tension of the minors then resurfacing back to the melodious beauty. Today I took a ride on the magic carpet of 12:34....and I sense I felt the the Muse that sprinkled this tune to them....she is lushous and lovely...

Don Ross is such an amazing accompanist, and Calum's song writing is superb as always. Man, just when I thought the acoustic guitar couldn't be played anymore skillfully and beautifully! I wish I had even half the skill these guys have.

Don, been following you and listening/buying your work since I discovered you on Narada Productions back in the 90's. Thanks for being the "spiritual" mentor of Calum. You have an awesome protege! At 23, he can only get better at this point. The metaphor of wine is very appropriate here. Calum, your unique wood thumb drive from your site with all your music AND tabs is an awesome idea, and I'm purchasing it this week. Look forward to learning to play (amatuer at best I assure you) some of your pieces.
