I'm an Indian psychologist and I think you should really examine why being on an anti-depressant is an automatic red flag. There are plenty of Desis with mental illnesses and we as a culture should absolutely salute when people get the help they need. Saying that everyone on a psychotropic medication is "crazy" is wildly inappropriate and harmful.
