Katie was actually quite broken and really hurting but the editing made it look like Katie just jumped ahead and moved on but today they released footage of Katie talking to Desiree to work through her feelings... I hope we keep in mind the editing ...I also just saw the teaser for Michelle's season and MY GOD it looks gorgeous and lavish ...I think the producers may not have liked Katie a lot ...

Sorry...that video call was ALSO staged for continuity. Katie's idea was to take Greg and Blake to end and sleep with both in fantasy suites to satiate her curiosity... Her F1 was Greg but she kinda messed that up. I can't say I love you... Commercial break... I love you .... Lolol. Huge contradiction...

The new clip they released with Katie’s FaceTime with Desiree would have given much more context during the finale. They should have found the time to put it in. It made way more sense after seeing that short convo on how she “moved on” so quickly.
The thing is, just seeing Kaitlyn persuading her to move on was enough for me... I would imagine there's enormous pressure to do so, especially when an ex-bachelorette is doing the convincing.
That call was staged from producers to keep going. Why do you think they released the clip
@@NickaLah Yes, not to mention that Katie snapped out of her love when Greg left. He proved by leaving that his love confession was fake, hence why she was angry! I think Blake made her realize that she focussed on the wrong man, and that he was actually the one. That blake was actually what Katie was looking for, he basically joined the cast ( even if it was late ) risked to win her heart.

Some are saying that the producers were NOT a fan of Katie ... hence the odd edits. Whatever the case ... "the story line" seems a bit disjointed. But it does appear as though there was a happy ending here. Greg's interview with Nick Viall was a good one ... especially where he talked about how he found a therapist that he really liked after his Dad's passing - but THAT therapist also died. As always ... the Wht & Ry recaps are the best part of any season!
Should you forego saying I love you to Greg, you may use these words the next day with Blake.

Unfortunately editing will completely ignore and not show a real connection between 2 people because they prioritize drama. Blake could have been number 1 the whole time, but they cut and paste and withhold information. Just like Rachel Lindsay said they didn’t show her love story. And things may look like the next day but could be the next week! Oh btw, Ratings are down and Tyler just called his girlfriend his soulmate on TV? I’m wondering if they’re bringing him in as the Bachelor because he’s so popular? Hmmmm.

I didn’t find Katie saying I love you to Greg to be such a huge contradiction. She said she only wanted to say it once to one man (avoiding a Ben Higgins situation) well the only other man who she felt that way for left so…I mean we knew this was between Greg and Blake (sorry Justin).
Katie letting Greg have it, I wasn’t mad at it she could’ve brought it down just a tad bit though.

I feel like Katie was waiting to say i love you when she talked to Greg becuse she had feeling for both Greg and Blake and didnt want to say it until she had decided who she wanted in the end. That she said she didnt feel it would be right. And the contrast of how Blake reacted to Katie telling him she wanted to leave becuse of Greg vs Greg when he felt insecure becuse of Blake. It was soo clear that Blake was way more secure and stable in himself and that his love was not conditional on her constant assurance! And im pretty sure that was what made her decide to tell him she loved him. Becuse in that moment he was to the only one for her. So she said it. In the end she did what she talked about she waited to tell somone that she loved them until she knew in her heart that he was the one. And i think thats totally fair.

I've seen a lot of people saying it was so great that Katie shared with Blake how upset she was that the other guys left, and she felt safe or whatever with him to say those things in the hot-tub, but I felt bad for him. It can't be fun hearing about how much she misses her other boyfriends.

I can not believe how Katie acted on the ATFR stage. Yikes all the way. Can't wait for Michelle's season!
I mean, she probably had sufficient evidence send to her to prove Greg was just lying the whole time. How would you react if you believed he's an actor and wasn't even being himself? I've been catfished before and I would imagine it's a similar kind of anger... I don't blame her at all. Don't forget he wiped all of his social media of anything incriminating, which was never addressed on the show nor Nick's podcast.
@@NickaLah he did address it and he said there is pictures of him on Instagram about his acting school and he never hid it. He said that on Nick's podcast. He went 2 yrs to acting school and never went on any auditions. And he didn't sign up for the Bachelorette, his sis signed him up. So, you are making assumptions.
And he walked. So what? They aren't bound to stay for a stated amount of time. He felt off about it, expressed it, asked for validation didn't get it, wished her well and left. Never bad mouthed her. Never insulted her.
Katie on the other hand loaded herself up with "rumors" labeled as "facts" clearly wanting to destroy him as she had done weeks prior with Thomas. Over what? Rumors too and a bruised ego. There's a reason alum and other guys on the season have been defending the guys and coming out and saying they aren't bad people. Katie, on the other hand, is pushing the narrative as the scorned,vindictive witch that she is. Good riddance to her!
He also said he shouldnt have talked to katie that way.

Also I call Greg’s interview on Nick’s BS. He saw the backlash from the non bimbo viewers, who have experienced or seen others on the receiving end of gaslighting behavior, and decided he needed to fix his image. He can’t meet his career goals if people are so divided on that SOB.
Have you seen what women from his recent past have said about him? He has a history of having sudden temper tantrums and being abusive. Stop normalizing such behavior from men simply cause they have nice hair and look hot and fragile.
Also if you are gonna analyze her behavior, have all the information first, don’t be so short-sighted and dense.

I just want to quickly remind y’all about a little guy name Peter K on Rachel’s season.. weren’t we all like “wow Brian is such a second choice!” but come to find out how strong a connection they had and how happy Rachel is now. Just want to remind you guys about that because we don’t see it all and I think Blake and Katie have a stronger connection than we are seeing. And the new video stuff with Desireé giving Katie advice I just hope they are solid. Same thing happened to Desiree. Everyone thought Chris was her second choice and they've been married for SIX years and have two kids. People are so easily tricked by the way the show is edited.
Yea, this reminds me of Arie and Lauren.... she was his second pick (well in a way), and now they have 3 kids! (Just had twins!).... and I never would have pictured them together. Now that I watch their youtube channel and how they interact, I think they are a much better match than Becca and Arie.

I think that Katie and Blake will last for a bit. However, I think that Blake is in love with love. They have a physical connection, but how deep is the emotional connection? I don't think that Katie and Blake will get married.
the chatty bros had a really good take on the moment with blake when she said she loved him. highly recommend everyone listen to that podcast for a thoughtful perspective on that moment following greg's tantrum.

So the Katie-Greg-Blake storyline is almost identical to Tayshia-Brendan-Zac and Rachel-Peter-Brian. I know their personalities are all different, but the plot was the same: obvious front-runner bolts at the last second and everyone thinks the lead settles for #2.
I'm cautiously optimistic about Tayshia and Zac, but given how Rachel and Brian are doing, I believe Rachel when she says the edit didn't reflect reality.
Since this "twist" happens often, I'm going to give Katie and Blake the benefit of the doubt and trust that the edit doesn't give us a full picture.
Absolutely. I've been thinking "Justice for R&B" all week! I had no doubt it would be Bryan the whole season, but the show was heavy-handedly pushing Peter's story for their own purposes. Add to that hers (Rachel's) was the first (and possibly only?) season when they made the lead sit on stage the ENTIRE episode without any opportunity to collect her thoughts, blow off some steam, etc before facing Peter's pity party .
I hadn't felt that same way about Tayshia's season though, but now that you mention it🤔

I never saw Rachel's season but I think Tayshia's. I do think Brendan was her number one but I think she had more time to recover (more than a day) and she didn't seem as invested in Brendan as Katie did in Greg. I felt like Katie put all of her eggs in the Greg basket and while Tayshia certainly seem to have strong feelings for Brendan she certainly seemed to have strong feelings for Ben and Zac too. Brendan's exit didn't totally devastate Tayshia the way Greg's exit did Katie.
@@sajarrahin1402 It's difficult to really be sure of the timelines. Greg said there was like a day and a half between her meeting his family and when he went to her room and exploded. And there have been others who have uncovered that Greg's hometown wasn't actually the last one (although I don't know how confirmed that is -- how messed up would it be if Greg saw Katie and Blake while he was stewing about her lack of reaction to him?)
And I have NO idea of the timeline with everything with Tayshia and Brendan and Zac (and Ben and Ivan). But Brendan was clearly presented as the front-runner at the end. She sent Ben home, Ivan was clearly a friend (before we knew about the religious roadblock), and even Tayshia has said Zac wasn't her #1 until she met his family.
I'm not really trying to compare the seasons. I'm saying this "twist" is in the Bachelor producer's playbook and they've used it a lot.
@@christianwalters2047 you're right, I don't think Greg's hometown was last. That makes complete sense because Katie said she didn't really want to even have hometowns with the other guys because she was pretty much sold on him. I'm paraphrasing but she said something along the lines of "how do you think I feel having to go do hometowns with these other guys and their families knowing how I feel about you". It was very telling. Tayshia was a bit more careful in her wording. But I get what you're saying about the twist. They do always have a twist.

There is another clip that was not shown in the last episode that would explain Katie’s transition. She called a previous bachelorette would had a front runner walk out on her too. They talked for awhile and she got a pep talk.
I doubt Desiree is her friend. Producer set up. So I honestly doubt the opinion of an unknown woman was the deciding factor. She knew she was more attracted to Blake than Justin with Greg gone, easy choice. She wasn't going to leave without that ring and produced happy ending. I honestly doubt the opinion of Desiree had much to do with it since Greg took that choice away from her.
@@mstea2234 exactly. I doubt someone she doesn't know had much influence on her decision to stay. Producers talked her into staying and then filmed this little snippet to tie it nicely together.

there's a deleted scene where Katie was speaking to former Bachelorette Desiree who understands and was in the same position and advises Katie to push through with the remaining men ._.. So I definitely think Greg was the number one front runner however Katie recovered and I think the fact that she said '' I f****** love you'' to Blake did go against her own rule not to say I love you until there was only one man ; But let's face it the only one man who ever stood a chance of recovering Katie's confidence in love in these process was Blake ._... Given she suffered such abandonment/ devastation/ loss of confidence she was not going to let another chance at her love story slip by [ & Justin only slipped by into that position by default because two guys/mb 3 [Andrew ] self eliminated ]
Thing about people who do fully recover from rape. Like anything, Katie will still have reminisce because trauma hits you, when it hits but it’s the process of recovering that helps build stronger coping skills when those triggers do happen. People say Katie is doing a rebound but really she looked more disgusted with Greg being a manipulator and her associating that with her past more than anything than Katie trying to make Greg jealous. Katie looks fully disgusted with Greg. I mean never once did I hear her compare or brag (that is the biggest indicator, bragging) saying Blake is so much better, but “Greg you dehumanized me, you put me in the same position where I had to beg.” She want Greg to be gone. That is what I got.

Can we please talk about the greatest tragedy of this episode: the beautiful green dress (and her shoes I imagine) get wrecked as she walks through that rocky desert plain to the rose stage. Brown sand all over the bottom of that dress- and none of the producers cleaned it off.

Thank you ladies for your reactions. I think the Bachelorette producers/editors, once again, messed with the romance and they tried to make Blake more uncertain with his feelings then he actually was. The ending, once again, was anti-climatic.

I wouldn’t suggest you guys demand so much from Katie contradicting herself since this show is all about microwaving love, right. What I took from this is after the show, only time will tell will they make it? If not, like any human being break ups happen and it doesn’t make someone a failure, but Irma a step back to hopefully take a step forward.
At the end of the day, we don't know these people and the show is heavily edited so we can't even objectively know what happened. The only thing I can be certain of is that Whit and Ry are the best part of this franchise and the only reason I'm even tangentially interested in it!

Yeah. Even Clare got engaged, though she broke up her engagement, and got back together with Dale but they're just dating now. Hannah Brown also got engaged but it laste a few months, by the time the finale aired, she had broken up with Jed.
