@@Inbarreto Thanks for asking , this video should be given a 5 start rating , I felt a sense of accomplishment after the change, , it was a mission trying to get the fliter off because of the tightness , but overall all is goood

I'd be inclined to put the undertaking back after I've refilled with oil to check for leaks.

?? The earlier 1.4 TFSI engine has the oil filter at the top of the engine, very easy to change. It also has a chain-driven camshaft so no cam belt to worry about. The post-facelift models (late 2014 on) have a cam belt and the lower mounted oil filter as per this video

The only problem is that the chain wouldn't last that long anyway, it streched out and required a replacement at about the same time the cambelt would have needed replacement😔

@valetspecialist4239 Not on low mileage cars. 10 years and, say, only 50k miles and you'd need to change the cambelt but not a cam chain

@@cmartin_ok it's quite often that the chain gets worn at around 60k miles according to the owners of the CAXA engines that is, the engine itself isn't bad but it's just cheaper to replace a belt than a chain tbf, it's not exactly the same chain driven engines that we used to have in the past that would outlast the engine itself😔

Very helpful video thanks. I wouldn't try to get too close to the maximum mark all the time though, I think it is an unnecessary overfill risk because as long as it is above minimum it's fine. I try to get mine at around 75% of the dotted markings.

I replace the oil crush washer every time but don’t understand why the whole oil plug needs to be replaced . The last couple of years I’ve used a Oil extractor which probably not the best thing very oil change incase any sludge at the button of sump .

Great video and a great choice of engine oil for the Audi engine. The Quantum oil is made by Fuchs, a German oil and fluids company. The box of oil helps save the environment from plastic. I'd always fill to the maximum mark but not above it.

The Audi dealer puts 0w30 oil in , should i do it to with 0w30 or put in 5w30???

    • @GarageTechAutomotive

0w30 is a better grade oil. Best to put in what’s recommended 👍🏼

@@GarageTechAutomotive it can both 5w30 or 0w30. I just bought the car but saw that they always serviced it with 0w30

Hello , where can you get the original sump plug and washer?

From your local Audi dealer, you can probably find them online
