    Call the fire dept they will give them a generator with a tank of gas and can run breathing machines and small floor heaters.

    I can't comprehend PAYING for medical treatment. I thank God every day that I live in a Country that has free healthcare with the option of paying to go private.

      Your medical isn't free, you're already paying for it. And places like the U.S. Can't offer free health care. We have to many illegal immigrants crossing the border and a border crisis.

    My grandpa had a hospice nurse that lived across the highway from them. When my grandma got sick even though she wasn't hospice anymore, she would still say to call if we needed anything. Hospice nurse are wonderful people

    Nice that you also got to show the psychosocial challenges that come up with different cases. I could not get by without my MSW. Team work is so key

    I would have never made it

    You’re an angel. We had some amazing Hospice nurses for my mama. Thank you for all that you do. I can tell you love your job. When my mama passed, her nurse asked if she could sing us a song as the family gathered. It was a beautiful song but in the middle of the song, she just stopped singing. A couple of minutes passed and she started where she left off. When she finished, she said she had never had that happen before and always sings the same song when a patient passes. I guess my mama figured she would play one last joke. She was quite the jokester

    Thank goodness that patient had you to advocate for them to get heat! I sure hope someone steps up to fix their a/c for them so they can be more comfortable. It’s bad enough they’re going through this…😢

    Ac ?? Thought cold just misspoke I guess. I wish u were my nurse absolutely beautiful n sweet. My uncle was on hospice n I still remember last time seeing him broke my heart was always big strong guy. Actually was drafted by redskins last year Lombardi coached blew his knee out. Long story short got skin cancer on back n had already spread to spinal cord before caught. He was barely himself but remembered me thank god an asked to come with me on trip I was going to b taking to Tennessee told him yes cause couldn’t say no. 😢I bawl every time I think about it like now. 😭miss u unc ❤

    I had to laugh a little with the crumbling of the plan and tossing it to the side. I do hospice admissions and I feel like this happens every day!

      I live in Washington state and our local churches help out with a lot of my domestic violence clients not every church, of course but many of them like with car repairs and higher moving costs stuff. I reach out if there’s ever a need that we cancel.

      Churches all over take care of people, my youth group have service days a few times a year where our youth group goes and helps people in need. On lady needed her alpacas poop cleaned up and wood stacked, also so many churches (including both my yg church and my home church do) go on missions and help locly as well

    Might you consider creating a short series on how you deal on your off time. Playing with your child, your SO & other family member support, what you do to take your mind off the stress of losing some really close friends _so_ often.
    Have you ever became real close personal friends with a family member of one of your patience that passed away? Or is it much to [painful for them cause they see you as apart of their most painful time?
    Love your channel & thanks for sharing many aspects of your career. YOU are so very important & the world could really use more of you around. 🤗💕💕💕

    Admissions can be very difficult I did it for awhile. I would not like to be a case manager AND do admissions. I could never do case management.

    I'd like to work in hospice but I'm not able to be a nurse or CNA. what do you suggest?

      if you can lift hospital beds you could work as a medical equipment delivery driver for a hospice center, or you could do hospitality work like cleaning/cooking. i dont work in hospice but i have family that does that

      Driving a van to help patients get from their homes to doctors appointments and back can be so rewarding. This isn't specifically hospice care but it does allow you to get to know your regulars and their family. Plus, you get to drive all over the place.

      Contact your local hospice office. Sometimes they need someone to just sit with someone when a family member needs a break.
      Just beware that most of the jobs are not paid. But if you just want experience, this is a good way to get some. It's very rewarding work!

    Until you said space heater I was thinking '37 degrees? That's a heat wave'. Then I realized that its 37°F not 37°C. A space heater wouldn't he any help if it was 37°C
