I agree so much. People always say she's "average" when she's actually a really skilled singer. She was a bit rough in their debut Era but she's not gotten better and better. Clearly has kept training under a vocal coach. Her mix is so good nowadays. Plus TWICE has some REALLY high and wordy songs. Much more than a lot of other groups and Jihyo always kills it and always sings her parts. I don't get why people underappreciate her so much as a vocalist. She's always been talented but by now it's very evident to me that 2019+ Jiyho has an extremely solid technique.

Autotune and MR have gotten REALLY good. Virtually EVERYONE in Kpop use them, even on occasion Mamamoo (the best gg vocals). It's part of the industry just like incredibly good formation dancing and ridiculously good-looking people. It is very possible to be less than a great singer and to sound fabulous live. That's what SNSD did their whole career. [Even at times Taeyeon, the best vocalist in Kpop]. It worked out very well for them. TWICE does almost everything right...but their vocals are weak, that expecially includes Jihyo because she is their Main singer. She sings off tune A LOT. Some people can hear that and some people can't. Some of thos people who can't hear how off-tune she is write comments about what a great singer she is.

They get pretty-much everything right...just they are very weak when it comes to vocals. That most importantly includes their Main Vocalist. I've got nothing against Jihyo other than she is not a good singer. About that, she sings off-tune A LOT. Some people can hear that, some people can't. Those people who are raving about her singing in these comments can not. Those people (any professional musician or member of a choir, any voice instructor, any piano tuner, and a whole lot of people who aren't professionals) who CAN hear how off-tune she sings find her painful to listen to.
