    Just made this tonight (12/26/2022) and my daughter and I loving it. I use frozen spinach and I’m glad I heard you say drain the water off. Great advice. Thumbs up!!!😊😊

    Why dont you cook the carrots as well? My carrots never cook all the way even for 4+ hrs in the crock pot. So im going to cook mine tonight and see if that's the issue..

    What were the two seasonings that you used? I heard one was thyme but not the other one.

      So sorry I forgot to say! I'm kind of an airhead sometimes, the other spice was dried parsley.

    Flour can’t cause salmonella, now if you have that confused with why you can’t eat raw cookie dough it’s not because of the flour it’s becuz it has eggs and eggs cause salmonella. Just an FYI

      You are correct, but I had read that you can get e-coli from raw flour. I just posted the wrong info. Nice catch, thanks 😊 👍

      @@CooktheBook yh u can get ill from eating raw flour.

    • @flippersnyder

      You can get many illnesses from raw flour (while rare since most flour is bleached) but the reference she used was cooking it out is to take the raw flour taste out of the dish. The bad stuff would cook out during the rest of the cook. Since you simmer this. But most everyone cooked the flour out at that phase is purely for taste and not safety. It's the same as making a cheese sauce or gravy. You cook the raw flavor out of the flour so it doesn't taste like cereal in the end product.

    Looks like it would make about eight - 8 ounce servings?????

    • @CooktheBook
      @CooktheBook  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds about right, I've never measured out servings. We always have a ton of it leftover when I make it.

    You should have just boiled your chicken and used the broth.That way you wouldn't have to use store bought from a can. Also you added another herb and didn't say what it was
