When using dies on top of the paper, would turn the Die with the cutting on top of the plate, how would you sandwich the plates? Every time I watch Sara in videos, she does not address my question. Thank you for your help!😊
Hi Sue! When using the Gemini for die cutting, use the acrylic plate on the bottom, then the die facing up, then the paper you want to cut, then the metal plate and/or the 2nd acrylic plate. Use the metal plate along with the acrylic plate if you need an extra ship for cutting.

My Gemini did not come with a magnetic plate, so I tried my crafters companion 3D embossing folders without the magnetic plate. It would not go thru. Now my Gemini won’t accept anything. I purchased this machine last year, but I haven’t used it much since I’ve been using another machine. Can you tell me something to do to get my Gemini to accept the 3D embossing folder? If not I’ll need to return my set of embossing folders.
Hi Alycia, sorry for the delayed reply. We sent your question to Crafters Companion and they suggested to follow the plate combination below. The 3D embossing folder requires its own unique plate combination which is as follows: • Clear plate (bottom) • magnetic Shim • 3D embossing folder w/ material to be embossed • plastic shim (top) If you are missing a piece, contact Crafters Companion (bit.ly/2HnhxzH) about missing parts and warranties. If the motor does not engage with any plate combination there is a 1-year warranty on the machine and they can test and repair it.

Sharon Tucker Lewis just use the clear plate and on top the plastic frosted one on top

Yes, the Gemini and Junior can go through iron on materials - they will go through just about anything! 😊
