I can only imagine how this would go over at my job. My boss would be his usual diplomatic self on the phone, but soon after would approach me asking if he needs to let security know if there might be a crazy person showing up to make trouble.

Mine would rip her a new one, cussing her out in all 3 languages he speaks, all the way until she hangs up even if it takes hours.

For a change, a normal ending! Given the track record of these text stories, I was expecting at least one divorce and one abandonment. Thank God!

Lol, I'm 66yrs old and couldn't cut up a fish to save my life. I CAN scale and clean out a fish, but cutting one up? Nope

Never eat anything from a crazy person who is/was angry with you. Chances are it could be poisoned.

It is this mindset that women should not make as much as men that keeps us as second class citizens (property).

If you do, just kick them out of your life. Doesn't matter if they are family, friends or strangers. Even my kids don't get a free pass.

My mom took a cooking class after she retired. She used to give dinner parties for friends. There was a group that would rotate monthly dinner parties. One did french food, one did Swedish food, others varied and sometimes would take us out to a restaurant we hadn't been to before.

  • @darianroscoe1017

Good story but questionable ending. If the ending had come to its logical conclusion, the MIL would offer to bring the ingredients for her "signature dish" over to her son and daughter-in-law's house and teach them both how to cook it in their own home and then enjoy it WHILE offering an apology. To bring over the completed dish makes the entire point of the thread obsolete by the time the end of the story rolls around.

Hey Victoria, if you called my employer and made a nuisance of yourself, I wouldn't hesitate to slap you with a restraining order. If you ignored it, I would slap you with a civil suit for Tortious Interference with Employment. Some people need a slap to get the point across.

    • @josephhigh2412
      @josephhigh2412 ปีที่แล้ว

Actually, just a real good, hard b***h slap will suffice to get the point across. And if that don't work, well just shun her ;pretend that she doesn't exist.

"You want me to quit this instant? Okay, I'll quit. I will quit sending you that allowance. Also, I will quit striving to be polite to you in the face of your ongoing rudeness. Instead, I will be a mirror. That means whatever you give me, I will reflect it right back at you. Give me respect, courtesy, and kindness, and you shall receive those things in return. Give me disrespect, insults, and vitriol, and I will be just as b!tchtastic right back to you. I suggest you choose CAREFULLY how you treat me from now on."

If she tried to get me fired, I would come to her house, or home if she lived with us, and I would tell her:"you tried to get me fired? Now I m going to take you out of this earth!"
She wouldn't dare to raise her eyebrow in my presence after that. And she would have to go to the hospital after I would end up with her. And after she comes back from hospital I would like to see her complaining about my cooking or my job. She wouldn't have to die at all to be able to see the face of her maker
Because she would already see her God here on earth

I'd like to imagine that when the MIL called the office and told Cherry's boss to fire her on the grounds that she can't cook, they just laughed at her before hanging up the phone because no employer with a functioning brain would terminate their employees over such a stupid reason, especially if that employee does their job exceptionally well!

FOAD is a complete sentence. Cut off her allowance and go NC until MIL learns to be civil.
Fortunately, all of my in-laws have been sweet people, but I suppose they wouldn't make dramatic stories.

Wow in my country she would get laughed at for that phone call! Lots of women don’t know how to cook, that and having children are between wife and husband and it would be rude for either mil to butt in. Times have changed-catch up!

(Btw, the timestamps are completely off. It's all the same minute over the course of an exchange that supposedly included a phonecall to rant about the DIL, AND a second call to have an exchange with the co-worker who received the call, PLUS several texts back and forth, AND a phonecall to her husband to ask about the cooking lessons... I type over 100wpm, and even I couldn't text all the conversations on even just one side in under a minute, even on a keyboard, AND have all those other conversations.)
