The first couple of episodes where tough to watch because of how the guys were treated, but the series does help the guys learn and grow as artists. They’ve always been respectful of the hip hop culture and history. The lessons they learned on AHL is part of their growth, so it’s worth watching! Interesting facts: The movie Sister Act 2 was based on the vocal teacher, Iris Stevenson’s life. Aneesa the creator of The Rise of Bangtan, was 207th person in line to try to attend the free BTS concert at the Troubadour which was featured the finale of AHL. She didn’t get in bc the cut off was 200 people. She said BTS really didn’t need to pass out flyers on LA streets for this concert because it was posted on BTS' social media and the early ARMYs got in line! BTS did it anyway to learn what it was like to have to really hustle to promote their show.
They left out some gems. I will never forget V getting a discount at a store he went to with RM in LA while preparing for the challenge Coolio gave them. He got the discount and the lady gave her phone number and asked if he was going to go back and see her. He also taught her how to say Jimin is a fool in Korean as well. 🤣
They were in LA for 2 weeks filming American Hustle Life. They didn't show how the show actually began, with a kidnapping prank. All the boys were in a van and their manager went into a building to get something (he knew what was going to happen) and a bunch of men came into the van and drove BTS to a different building. Once inside they were eventually told it was all a prank. But poor J-Hope and Jungkook (who was just 16 at the time) were so scared they looked like they were on the verge of tears. After it was over Jungkook said he was worried he would never see his parents again and was worried he was going to be sold off. But imagine being in a foreign country not knowing how to speak English and something like that happening to you. Some of the members probably figured it was something related to the show, but you could tell they weren't aware what was going to happen. One of my favorite parts of American Hustle Life was seeing them on the streets of LA handing out flyers for their free concert. Trying to explain to complete strangers who they were. And then they had a mini concert at the Troubadour in LA. Who knew just over 7 years later they have 4 sold out shows at SoFi Stadium in LA. BTS story is just so inspirational, it makes you believe anything is possible.
I can't take watching the "fake kidnapping" or when those guys wouldn't take JK's bacon cheeseburgers that he paid for with his own money. I know it's things like that that make us stronger. I just can't take it watching any of the boys being mistreated.
Jin is a great cook actually 😊 Suga also cooks these two are the chefs in their trips or RUN Episodes And they says that Jin cooks for them in the early days very often American Hustle Life is a reality show from 2014 very crienge and a lot of army don't like so much (like me 🤣) but is a experience where they learn different things in some way. For me is too much but is true that make them grow up. See you in other videos ! 😊😁
American Hustle Life gets a lot of criticism due to the way the guys were treated in poor taste at times and some other cringey moments. But I think it's a show that is worth the time to watch because you do witness the guys learning some great lessons, expanding their viewpoints, and gaining experience that helps them grow. You can also see their genuine struggle and the stress they endure which made me appreciate them that much more.
Honestly, I couldn’t watch American Hustle. I was very uncomfortable with the treatment in some of those episodes. Poor Tae, he’s just being his quirky self and they’re treating him like there’s something wrong with him. And the whole kidnap prank wasn’t funny, those poor kids were really scared.
Ah this was a nice episode. Its fun to rewatch this with you since its been a while since I’ve watched it too. And my fav part of American hustle life was when the vocal teacher praised v’s voice. I honestly felt like he needed to hear that since his voice is a comfort to millions of people now. And yeah AHL was a little cringe at the start but then later since they had fun it became better.
First : that Iris woman who was giving them vocal lessons? Her life was the inspiration for the movie Sister Act! How cool is that? I also absolutely hated it when I saw them cooking baby octopus 🐙. My brother worked at Mystic Aquarium as a teenager, and he loved their octopus. He said when he fed her in the morning, she'd come over to the side so that he could pet her head. He'd talk to her, and she'd twine her tentacle around his arm to keep him from leaving. And they only live 1-2 years anyway! 🙁 Jasper : try using a water pistol to discipline him. It took less than a day for me to stop Cameo scratching furniture that way. Two blasts in the face when he was three months old, and he never did it again, though he lived to 14. Doesn't hurt them, but they really hate it. Love your videos. Hope this helped.
I have to confess something here 😂 I was home alone last weekend so I watched all the series (I can´t wait the chapter no 21). I cried buckets and laughed hard at the same time. You can see through all these chapters how these wise young boys will turn to the wise young men. It was mind-blowing. I still don´t get it how some people don't give them credit about their talent and hate them... I was so proud of V in this chapter when Iris said to him about his soulful voice (that he has something that touches people´s heart in it). His voice is on the main reason I fell in love with BTS. I know only one thing now I will worship them the rest of my life. They deserve all the happiness in the world 💜💜💜 There is no one like them.
AHL was super duper cringe. I think they got some important experiences from it, but mostly because they are the type of people to pull the good things out of the experience and leave behind the rest.
I saw an interview with Tony where he said they lowered the height of the basket for the basketball game. I think he said it was only like 7 ft tall or something like that.
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. American Hustle life was important. I feel like they learned a lot of very valuable lessons being here. Yes, it was cringe but beneficial nonetheless. Iris by the way is the lady that inspired Sister Act! I love those movies. I plan to watch this show eventually too. Like Jin can beat box come on! That is so cool. JK got to come to USA twice once on his own. The agency really invested a lot in him and the others. They did as much as they could. Love this series. Hugs. Love u. -NY USA Army💟
Oh God! American Hustle life...... I thought most of it was good but i didn't enjoy the episodes with Coolio in it. I felt he was coming off a little rude, idk. Warren G was able to teach them as well and he came across much better. Overall it's a little cringy but still fairly entertaining.

oh I so dislike Coolio (he should not have that name, there is nothing cool about his attitude or the way he treats other). Tbh American Hustle Life ep 1 and 2 are painful but it gets better of course there are some other parts I don't like as well but you should watch it.
It was also revealed that the production agency of the show asked Coolio to be a hardass to make it more dramatic. It's reality tv. I hold nothing against the man doing as asked. It's time to let it go.

Also I dislike him not hate it's not a grudge but I won't lie about how I feel about him (and I disliked him before this for many reasons he just added much more to it after this). It's best not to keep feeling bottled up it can do more harm than good in the end.

I'm sure you're the same if you think something isn't right. This is how we learn and grow from past mistakes whether they be ours or other people's.

I love that Iris did that for Taehyung. You never really saw his voice praised at the start of debut so I'm sure that meant so much to him.
