When you set "Extend from" to 00:02 it means you are only using the first 2 seconds of your reference. Thats why your fat boy songs didn't sound like your beat boxing
I hope there's more to this update cause I don't see myself using this feature that much, if at all. Features I want to see are: the ability to cut a song short if I want to end it before Suno does, the ability to extend on to the start of a song to add in an intro, the ability to save a vocalist to use from one song to another, the ability to save instrumental sound genre and composition from one song to be able to use in others. Those last two so you can create albums that sound like they're from the same band. Those would be good features.
I agree those would be some cool samples. Hear me out. If they have stems you could take the vocal track upload it and create a different song same vocals. Also you can end a song early if you click extend, then pick the spot ie 02:34 to extend from, in the cyst box you can just put [outro] or [fade] to end the song early Hope that helps Thanks For Watching

Yes it does. Also according to their licence agreement they can redistribute all generated music and sell their catalogue to third parties. Platforms like tiktok can use all our music creations.

I understand the fascination with the new technology but you're actually training up an apprentice to replace you... not sure about Suno but it's pretty clear Udio just absorbed all of Spotify without permission, and they will both use whatever you put in to improve their output. Their idea is to get 1000's of musicians to spend lots of their time creating a collective AI brain - all for free.

You're extending from 2 seconds in, which means your entire recording is being ignored except for the empty space in the first 2 seconds. You should've tried extending from the 10-second mark, although that might keep your beat box sound completely intact, and that's probably not what you want either.

I would like to ask for your honest opinion if I may please? I'm a lyricist looking for a quick way to get my lyrics with the phrasing that I've set out onto some quality music. So I can sing the lead vocal all the way through the song with a click track, upload it to an AI Platform and then get AI to put the pre selected Genre'd music to that vocal. Then maybe take it step further and have an AI singer replace my vocal if that's possible. So I'd like to ask, from your experience which AI Software would you recommend for this task please? Hey sorry for the delay. You have a few options. You can go Bamd In A Box and make music to sing over. Udio or Suno Ai music and use the instrumentals prompts for the style you want. You would have to create the vocal melodies. Use Suno or Udio for the songs you enter the lyrics. Then remove the vocals and sing over the tracks. Hoes this helps

I wish we could upload a song and have it regen the same song but higher quality. So like we could do crappy audio cuts and have it fix it and smooth it out and make it sound better. Kind of like ai upscaling for bad quality images but with sound. Thats the one feature i want.

Having spent the last month playing with this I've found it both powerful, and unwieldy. You can get extensions and complete songs that sound remarkably like what you are hoping to achieve - even a better version of you. But more often than not it's just off a bit too much. I liken it to taking a pet tiger on a walk, while holding it by the tail. You might stay in the same neighborhood, but have a hard time getting to your desired destination! If anyone wants to hear what I've done there are quite a few AI related tracks on my channel/playlist, with details in descriptions. Follow my name.
So, if you get to talk with Suno staff or engineers can you tell them about an idea of mine that can be very useful they should allow us to have music on the right channel and vocal on the left side so we will have excellent quality audio when we have them separated. Yes, we lose stereo but we can make it again in editing so music is on the right and vocal on the left channel this is the most important solution for all of us to downò load a very good quality file. with separate music and singing in two different channel - please tell them about my idea I would be very pleased.

Slightly OT, but is there a way to crop songs in Suno? The songs always seem to extend to 4 minutes even if I want it to end at, say, 3. Kind of a break and then some of the lyrics get repeated. I could obviously take it out of Suno and edit but that would mean I cannot publish if I want to

Well I think the reason it didn't base the song on your beat-box rhythm was that you started very early, that is only at 00:02 seconds, it only got your "pukhhh" lol! You should've started after at least 1 whole measure so it could have a complete sample.
Hi Chris, First of all, great work you are doing! I have a few questions and maybe you can help me. I think I have used over 8000 credits and have gotten only about 50 songs with somewhat good sound quality. With all the other songs, the voice or the music is extremely distorted or there is a lot of noise, making them unusable. I have also tried working with Spectra or De-noise, but it doesn't really help. So my question is, is there a way to suppress this in Suno? The voices in Uido are very good, but I would prefer to stay with Suno because I find that it offers a much greater variety of sounds. Thank you. I have definitely had issues with noise. It's been better for me as of lately. I have tried adding high quality, studio quality and or Nashville sound and have been getting better results. I get the sense that UDIO is better for vocals and realising the subtitles of genre, but Suno has a more polished sound if not a bit over compressed. Neither has the fidelity nailed down yet.
I tried humming a melody into music but it's not working! It just keeps my original voice humming or creates something that has nothing to do with my input. I prompted what instruments and style I want and it's not using even my melody ! But that was udio ! Did u try humming in Suno ?

Gotta preserve the illusion of choice. Just like The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo, both under BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street. Why have one, when you can have two and avoid any allegations of monopoly. Plus, this way they get twice the revenue, at least from paying customers. I don't know about anyone else, but I find it more than a little suspicious that both companies came out of nowhere within a very short time frame of each other, with very similar features and technology, and continue to keep pace and leapfrog each other as if it is the Kentucky Derby. It's almost as if all these AI companies are nothing more than fronts for something much bigger. A total mirage.
@Streeknine Indeed. When Gemini was released there was a screw up one day where it said it was a model powered by OpenAI. I don't know if you remember that. At the time dozens of bots swarmed in to run cover saying it was hallucinating and it is just spitting out something it learned in the training data. Well I didn't buy it. So I got talking to Gemini and asked it to explain the difference between it and OpenAI. It flat out told me that ChatGPT and OpenAI deliver hip and cool consumer oriented products where Google Gemini is aimed at business users. So I asked.. so what you are saying is that the difference is branding and focus. To which it replied.. Exactly!! I mentioned this to a few people at the time but it was quickly shut down and buried. Now, I don't know, but it makes you wonder.
Again, really great understanding of song structure, and the melodies flow really well, but I still have pretty much the same complaints about the sound quality.
For me, Suno is better in quality, although Udio has more tools so you have more control when creating a song, but the voices are of poor quality, and the track (the instrumental) has a lot of noise, opposite of Suno. I have both paid versions, but I don't really use Udio that much, now, if Udio has the quality of the vocals and the track (the instrumental), that would be another story.
prefer the udio version of your track. came across with more power and seamed clearer and more stereo with it.. i do love suno and the vocals are getting better.. but i still think udio kicks better with the vocals.. but the speed that suno can create tracks compared to the amount of work with udio.. but i still use suno for all my basic lyrics and for quick fast tracks.. but i do love the seed function with udio keeping tracks sounding the same with vocals and styles etc.. handy for making albums etc.. having each track sound like a band.. rather than a compilation of singles from other singers... but again depends what you want fast quick and easy. or little more hard work and effort and time.. i would love to imagine what these would be like in 1 years time.. full ai video editing prompted by the song lyrics to fit the song.. that is the next step.

When you extend you need to let the song play more so it can extend that sample, all you did was add your songs and not let it register any of the sample you placed so basically it just made its own song.

The first one exists. Switch to v3 and type [End short] or [end]. V3.5 hates to end songs

I wish they would change up the vocal patterns. They use the same melody pattern in almost every song
Patience is the key! Got some very tight pop songs with strong chorus lines it's trial and error (and luck!).

I tried humming a melody into music but it's not working! It just keeps my original voice humming or creates something that has nothing to do with my input. I prompted what instruments and style I want and it's not using even my melody ! But that was udio ! Did u try humming in Suno ?

Nah, competition is always preferred to a monopoly. Each company is going to rush out their updates and improve this tool. If they merge.. that all stops.
They will milk users for money, prices will increase and updates will be far and few between.

Gotta preserve the illusion of choice. Just like The Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo, both under BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street. Why have one, when you can have two and avoid any allegations of monopoly. Plus, this way they get twice the revenue, at least from paying customers. I don't know about anyone else, but I find it more than a little suspicious that both companies came out of nowhere within a very short time frame of each other, with very similar features and technology, and continue to keep pace and leapfrog each other as if it is the Kentucky Derby. It's almost as if all these AI companies are nothing more than fronts for something much bigger. A total mirage.

@Streeknine Indeed. When Gemini was released there was a screw up one day where it said it was a model powered by OpenAI. I don't know if you remember that. At the time dozens of bots swarmed in to run cover saying it was hallucinating and it is just spitting out something it learned in the training data. Well I didn't buy it. So I got talking to Gemini and asked it to explain the difference between it and OpenAI. It flat out told me that ChatGPT and OpenAI deliver hip and cool consumer oriented products where Google Gemini is aimed at business users. So I asked.. so what you are saying is that the difference is branding and focus. To which it replied.. Exactly!! I mentioned this to a few people at the time but it was quickly shut down and buried. Now, I don't know, but it makes you wonder.

For me, Suno is better in quality, although Udio has more tools so you have more control when creating a song, but the voices are of poor quality, and the track (the instrumental) has a lot of noise, opposite of Suno. I have both paid versions, but I don't really use Udio that much, now, if Udio has the quality of the vocals and the track (the instrumental), that would be another story.

prefer the udio version of your track. came across with more power and seamed clearer and more stereo with it.. i do love suno and the vocals are getting better.. but i still think udio kicks better with the vocals.. but the speed that suno can create tracks compared to the amount of work with udio.. but i still use suno for all my basic lyrics and for quick fast tracks.. but i do love the seed function with udio keeping tracks sounding the same with vocals and styles etc.. handy for making albums etc.. having each track sound like a band.. rather than a compilation of singles from other singers... but again depends what you want fast quick and easy. or little more hard work and effort and time.. i would love to imagine what these would be like in 1 years time.. full ai video editing prompted by the song lyrics to fit the song.. that is the next step.
You are spot on. Udio has some fantastic tools and seem a bit more innovated than Suno, yet Suno is still very fun to use and has great song structure. Thanks for the great comment and For watching.
When you extend you need to let the song play more so it can extend that sample, all you did was add your songs and not let it register any of the sample you placed so basically it just made its own song.

ok i see why they are still not releasing this feature, is just complete ass at this stage. i hope the one they eventually release is way better than this especially now that people are going to comparing them to udio. udio is pretty much leaps ahead of them in almost all categories, if they dnt deliver on this crucial feature, it'll put udio as undisputed champ in this space.
