- Helloooo my lovely people💗 I am back in Copenhagen and I had the coziest weekend at home. Even though I love travelling, it’s always so good to get back to your surroundings and snuggle in your own bed. It was quite an eventful weekend, I had a coffee date with a friend and it was so nice to catch up! My agency was hosting a party so of course I had to glam up. I decided to show you guys how I use rollers in my hair to achieve a “blowout look” and it turned out amazing. I don’t want to say too much but I hope you will enjoy this week’s video hihi!
p.s. We are soon hitting 100k subscribers and I just can’t believe it!!! You guys are the best ever and I couldn’t do any of this without you and your support (14 year old me is screaming at the moment😭🥹)

Hi, I am a born and raised dane. Just to make it clear to anyone watching and learning about Denmark through this video, going to the doctor and school is "free" because we pay for it through taxes. We do pay to have those systems, we just do not pay for each session at the doctor or each month at school. Everyone has to pay taxes in Denmark, but depending on your individual income, you pay a high, medium, or low level of taxes. The taxes paid by everyone is used to upkeep the health and educational systems. I really like it that way, it makes it possible for people from families with small incomes to go to public schools and receive health care. I do agree that it is one of the best things about Denmark, I just want to make it clear that it is not entirely free, it is simply payed through taxes :)

Same here in Spain, people used to think that public services as health assistance and education are totally free, but actually are financed by our taxes.

With the rollers in your hair and you doing your makeup and being so animated…. You’re so beautiful ❤. Since I started watching your vlogs I’ve been obsessed with visiting Copenhagen and I finally booked for this Spring.
You only have to work qualifying hours as a student if you want the free money (SU grant) as a foreign EU citizen studying here. Danes don't have the work requirement. They introduced the (small) work requirement because many many students were coming to Denmark for the free education and free monthly grant, then leaving immediatly after their studies were finished. It was a bit unfair for Danish citizens to support so many students who didn't stick around to become tax-paying citizens (for at least a little while). It was also quite unsustainable to provide free education and free monthly grants to so many foreign students, hence requiring them to work 10 or 15 hours a week contributes to the tax system. (Hope that clarifies it.)

Hello Birta! I’m from Japan, and I’ve been your big fan for a long time! Although I’ve never been to Copenhagen yet, I originally LOVE the hygge and beautiful atmosphere of cafes/restaurants in Denmark including the food/interior so much that I want to live in there for a few years at some point in my future. So basically one of my hobbies is to scrolling Instagram or even Google Map to find cozy cafes in Copenhagen to visit someday. And one day, I found your channel on TH-cam. Actually there are many people who post those information with pictures or short videos on Instagram, but there are not so many who posts as a part of vlog video. It’s so satisfying to watch your videos because not only I can get to know new/local places but also I get cheered up and inspired with your positive energy and chill vibes. The atmosphere and personality that you and Helgi have are just special and amazing.(Cooking at home is one of my fav contents from your channel btw) You guys would have no idea how much I appreciate your creativity. It's pretty common for Icelandic people to move to Copenhagen for universities and so on! I originally came as an exchange student but then I loved it so much that my boyfriend and I decided to stay, and now it has been over 3 years🥰
