- Thirteen years ago, New Zealand couple Colin and Jenny Ayling, packed up and left for Mozambique with their four small children in obedience to God's call on their lives. The children have all grown up and left home now, but Colin and Jenny are still there... with their new family of African brothers and sisters in Christ. The fruit of their labor.
Although the frustrations and disappointments faced during their time at Maziotela Ministries have been extremely difficult, God has guided them through. Right now as this post goes out, the Aylings are praying raging forest fires surrounding the property will not consume the cashew farm again as they have before.
Jenny says, "We live in a land of poverty and underdevelopment and Romans 12:2 shows us that the Gospel transforms believers and societies. However, just as when we get malaria we don't just decide to give up and go home, so too, even as we have faced theft and corruption, we still have a passion to see God's Kingdom demonstrated in Community Development here in Mozambique. We must re-call God's faithfulness and the miraculous ways God has provided. It is our prayer that together we'll be able to say '[We] have brought You glory on earth, by completing the work You gave me/us to do,' John 17:4."
Maziotela's Mission statement is: "A HOLISTIC presentation of the WHOLE Gospel". It focuses on Community Development, involving farm development, projects and job creation within a cashew processing factory. Jenny's feeding programme sees her working with many under nourished babies and their mothers as well as helping with their accommodation. In addition Colin and Jenny are working in the area east of Monapo to Nacala and further north with local pastors in church planting and leadership development.
This story is a snapshot of life in Mozambique as told by Jenny. This is faith in action!
Becoming a missionary is an outflow of intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. The more we know Him, his love the more missionary we become.

Being a missionary is a great responsibility! A missionary must have great energy, fortitude, and courage. Wherever the missionary goes, no matter what part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. Locals must understand what the missionary is telling them. The missionary must get the Word right! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is on a mission or preparing for one, I would like to recommend a very good workshop written by Yury Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes: Practical tips for learning foreign language. This wonderful book will give you answers how to properly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book provides answers to many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. I wish you good luck in your important work!

My wife and I saw this video almost two years ago. I wondered why there are not many more like it! It really inspired us to make our own videos to help people connect with missionaries actively working on the field. We have several good friends working in Mozambique! Currently we are in Uganda. Sonia Sorto We got started going on short term trips with our church, and fell in love with Guatemala and their people. We made at least 3 short term trips and were able to develop contacts in Guatemala as well. In that time we found a need we thought we were suited to help with and decided to take the plunge and go all in and move down here. Thank you for the great question.

I lived in Tete, mozambique for 6 months as an intern missionary. I love Mozambique! Its true even when they are your friends they want to rip you off. lol Lived it! I love being a missionary! Love this video took me back to beautiful mozambique. Loved walking through the markets!

I’m about to start high school, what can I do to put my life on track for a career as a missionary? Specific classes? College degrees? Any recommendations? A lot of people know what they want to do and are taking specific classes to help them like if they want to be a doctor are taking ap science classes. What classes should I take to set me up?

good day sister..good day everyone...peace be with you all!..i i prayed and i'm hoping that someday some missionaries can discover our little community here in Philippines..because people here are so different,they dont recognize the Lord,dont know the word of God cause it is very seldom to have a Holy eucharist there,many are gambler despite the difficulties to have an income..maybe some missionaries can help us..THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

can someone tell what is the different between a missionary and a pastor ?
Seems almost impossible to become a missionary today. Everywhere Ive looked you need to a BA or some other high qualification.
Are you not able to grow vegetable gardens for yourself to eat
