I tried your technique ! Broke mirror. You DO NOT have to remove the mirror to do this. Only put the mirror all the way up and use a long screwdriver to push the pin and pull out the bulb casing.
you dont have to pull the mirror off you can just use a clip tool or flat head screwdriver and go under the mirror, and where you are using your thumb use the tool and the light socket drops from the bottom. the way your doing it works but risk breaking the mirror clips/tabs.
+Josh Samudia I've tried it that way on other cars sometime I have luck sometime I don't. I've never broken tabs or the clips while prying on the mirror.
For those wondering, the lightbulb inside the mirror is a *2825* bulb.
Thanks for this video. Saves me the headache

What size is the bulb . Want to do this to my MKZ but use white LED
Me too . But you can take the bulb to a auto store and match the size in LED ..
It’s a 2825 bulb
Do you know what bulb size this takes
2825
I have an mkc, I assume the mirrors work similarly. They want more than 100 to do this at the dealership pssshhhtt
