As someone who does enjoy playing gacha games, the gacha system in my hero ultra rumble really does suck ass. It's difficult to get enough tickets to even do a 10 pull as a free to play yet alone enough to reach the pity exchange point. On top of that they make it so all your pity points go away after the gacha period. It's atrocious with how low the character rates are in the gacha compared to the cosmetic stuff. What makes it worse is that to get character tickets to unlock the characters after their gacha period, you need to get hero souls from the gacha but you get so little from each multi summon it's actually insane to try and reach 300 hero souls. The gacha system really needs a rework because eventually people are going to start noticing how difficult it is to get summons without the freebies and discounts* they've been giving for the launch season.
I come from the future, these problems still exists in season 3. They added another deku as a "new" character, a new map (about time) and...thats it for season 3. I experienced the hell that is this gacha, but i don't understand: why wont they allow you to keep your points after the banner ends ? There are other gacha games that allow for this (nikke for example). I realized (as a f2p player) is literally IMPOSIBBLE to get 200 points, there is just no time for you to roll that many times before the banner ends (obviously if you pay you can). I don't understand, just make a permanent character banner (like honkai), that way you wont lose the points you accumulate. There are many many ways in which they can fix these problems. I agree the game is fun, but damn it could be SO much better...
We’re in season 4 now and the gacha system still sucks and you most definitely still can’t get enough points to pity in that time unless you spend money and they are dropping the best stuff now like all for one and the shigaraki skill set and you still lose your points when the banner ends so it’s kinda like it’s just rigged to where u have to spend money
Hey man, this vid is extremely well made. I was researching this game because as a avid Apex ranked grinder, I love BR's and my friend mentioned this one. I cannot believe this robbery is happening in a competitive game. It's quite literally unbelievable. Thank you for the concise and genuine deep dive into this mechanic! Even though it's 5 months later it's been very useful for me, so thank you!

What was wrong with just having characters as dlc like in shinobi striker? If it’s about money that model would still be profitable. With the little amount of content we truly have in this game there is no reason why i should be gambling my hard earned money on this.
Shinobi strikes failed because of that I didn't play that game because there was no way to get more characters unless u pay up on top of paying for the game

why i stopped playing mhur, i was ranked high and thought the game was fun but it was starting to get repetitive, and the gacha doesn’t even let me play as some of my favorite characters bru
Your bashing the gacha system and to me I’m perfectly fine with that because this system is like a parasite leaching off pockets of other players and it needs to go I think the games better off without it there’s other ways to make money just put in an item shop
Tbh I rather pay for dlc then to fucking deal with the gatcha system it’s so lame it’s the reason why I stopped playing phone games Fr if you really spend money on this game tryna win over the gatcha system I’m sorry to say but you would’ve saved more money if these characters were just dlc and had a set standard price like 2-3 bucks per character
I play on Xbox and Switch , I’ve pulled maybe 12-15 times on each console and haven’t pulled 1 character yet lol. Thank God I’m a Dabi one trick cuz sheesh I would not be playing this game still lmao
Maybe they could copy apex an just use the coins you earn from a match an use them to unlock characters instead of doing it the way they do it now I think
