I'm with you on the Missha, the previous bottle worked well. I appreciate companies want to update their formulas/technology but sometimes changes aren't all for the better. The formula I really enjoyed was one from 5 years ago, the current no longer has licorice, the original had a bucket list of great ingredients. The results are subtle, I notice when I stop using the product, and when I resume, my skin just looks a bit more robust and smooth. I recently started using the Missha First Essence Enhanced version, It has more of everything, hydration, niacinamide, ferment, and my skin looks happier.
I have quite a few of the essences you showed today. The number one Neogen Serum is always in my routine. You did a video one day & one of your followers suggested Jin Jung Sung . I bought 2 of their products and they have sooo many excellent ingredients. JIN JUNG SUNG Omega Vegan Vita Serum and JIN JUNG SUNG Soothing Non-sticky Face Moisturizer Essence Serum. The omega serum has 23 “goodie” ingredients and 3 “superstar” ingredients. I use that one in the morning and the other at night. Both are amazing!
Sarah, would you ever try the fermented ginseng essence Gothamista came out with? (Notably she only came out with one, thoughtful, responsible multipurpose product) It’s GORGEOUS and I know you’d love it 🥲🥰
Thanks for the video. Numbuzin #3 made my skin so glowy, but my sensitive skin started getting irritated about 1/2 way through the bottle. I love the Beauty of Joseon layered 3x, then galactomyes by Some By Mi (2×)
I love the Neogen but have only used the essence! At first I didn’t think it did anything but stuck with that huge bottle and I really saw great brightening and hydration!
My favorite is Numbuzin #3 serum. I love it. I’ve also tried dohingbi serum and the expensive oil. They cost tons more but the cheaper one is the best IMO.
I did not care for the texture of the Isntree but preferred it to Missha Time Revolution. I love the manyo mist version. I started SKII late last year and get the hype, but I have Iope on deck next to see if it is a dupe.
Regarding the order, I’m currently using the Regimen Lab Vitamin C serum, so I wrote to them asking what order to use. They responded vitamin c first, then fermentation essence. I’ve used Missha Time Revolution first treatment essence, Benton’s fermentation essence and the CosRX Galactomces 95. I definitely liked the Missha one the best, but unfortunately they are not cruelty free, so I won’t be repurchasing unless they change that. I’ll probably repurchase the Benton one because it has both Galactomces and Bifida
I’m worried to stop SK2…I noticed such a change in my complexion and overall skin health since I bought my Costco sized bottle back in November . Half way through and I also bought a mini one for travel…anyone tried to get off of SK2 and get the results with another first treatment essence that was similar?
To be honest nothing compare to SkII , one you start with SkII all the essence out there just a junks . I saying because I been on SKII for 2 years I tried all the cheap Korean version of galacto all of them just hydrated toner 🥹🥹🥹 I wish one of them work as skII
I know this video is older and hopefully someone can help me out ❤ I really want to try either the Neogen Ferment Micro Essence or the Scinic First Treatment Essence. I've never tried anything with ferments. Seems a lot of people rave about the Neogen and thats why I would want to try it. The Scinic has less ingredients so I thought that would be a good one to start off with. I have seen lots of comments regarding breakouts wirh fermented products. I just wanted to get everyones opinions regarding these 2 products. Thank you
I’ve been using the Skinfood Propolis Essence for a good half dozen years and I love it! I’ve also found a really good dupe for SK-II that I actually like better - the Purebess Galactomyces 100% Essence. It’s considerably cheaper but admittedly kind of hard to find. I wish more places sold it. I really like that it doesn’t have niacinamide in it like basically all the other dupes. I can’t add anymore of it into my routine. I’ve also been appreciating the Elizavecca Hellpore Bifida Pure ampule. For some reason, I was really struggling with a lot of bifida products - the Manyo kinda clogged my pores, the Neogen contains something I’m allergic to - but I finally found a simple bifida product I can use! I also like the TonyMoly From Ganghwa Mugwort FTE with fermented mugwort (Missha also has a version that’s identical, too - if anyone is considering it, pick whichever one is cheaper lol). It’s soothing.
I bought the Benton Fermentation after I watched her review and it went on sale on Amazon for $12. …. A week later my hubby was like “You’re skin is so bright and healthy” I’m 47 with box car scars from terrible acne in my 20s. Hearing that my skin looked great was nothing short of amazing. I layer it with a first toner that is super thin and also has galactomyces in it as well. I only use it at nigh bc I’m normal to oily during the day.
Is hyaluronic acid bad for the skin barrier , I just purchased the geek and gorgeous one and I also have a hydrosol with lactobacillus ferment in it for a presvetive , have you tried any lactobacillus ferments? And if so what was your thoughts
Thanks Sarah - interesting and informative video. Have you tried the Mixsoon master serum - combines centella and bifida. Also have you seen Skin1004 has a new fermented centella line? I'm trying to streamline a bit so combining centella and ferment sounds so great to me!
Hi! Curious if youve tried the Numbuzin #3 essence that has 50 fermented ingredients!? I sprang for it and pretty much Instant Breakout! Gonna try it on my body skin😮
I do believe you have an older version of the isntree tw-real bifida. The bottle has been changed and I've read so many comments that they watered-down the formula. The ingredient list wasn't the same as shown online.
@@ayoyinka5538you're so welcome 😊 sadly I won't purchase anything from Isntree. I bought their yam root cream and once I got it, I was so irritated 😤 I returned it. The ingredients shown online DO NOT match what's shown on the bottle/packaging. I'm guessing they do this with all their products. Someone made a comment how a lot of Korean brands do this but I buy a lot of Korean skincare brands. Isntree and Scinic are the only Korean skincare brands that I've had issues with regarding ingredients list not being accurate.
Great video Sarah...question. I just got the Dr. Brenner Vit. C, which I'm loving....So I would apply the vitamin c, than the Dr. Benton Ferment?....Wouldn't the ferment dilute the vitamin C??...or do you think I should apply the other way around. I also use Matrixyl during the day, and I have the EUK serum or pycnogenol by the ordinary...I just read that fermented products make other products absorb better...so following this logic would I apply first?..it's all confusing.....thanks!
Hi I'm Loretta De Los Rios using Frank's account to make this comment with his permission. Missha Night Repair Probio Ampoule is very nice. Missha isnt selling it anylonger. They have another version it irritated my hypersensitive sensitive skin. I saw the Night Repair Probio Ampoule on Amazon but I rather buy it somewhere else if i fine it. 🙏👍👍👍👍⚘😺😺😺😺🐕🤲🤲
This was a great recap of fermented products. I'm so sad the lab cera liquid got taken off of Amazon. It was 40% off and I was going back and forth on buying it. I was waiting for your review, but now it's gone.
Lysates are not all the same. Quality of the ingredients are dramatically different. And yes, price matters. Aurelia and SKII do work different from Missha or One Thing. I say so because i used them and see difference in my skin. If you dive deeper and go to the prices of good lysates, you will see the difference.
Nice to hear you've had great luck with SKII- if everyone had the same experience as I did they wouldn't still be around, and they clearly are doing very well so a lot of people have had great luck with them, obviously!
I don't see anywhere that they specified an exact percentage (which is why I wish all brands did this like Good Molecules). The expiration date on mine is two years away so it looks like it lasts about three years. Although if you open it up I'd recommend trying to finish it in 6-9 months for maximum effectiveness.
@@NOBSBeauty I read 6 months after opening so its a pass for me. It looks like a big bottle. I have the Cosrx 95 galactomyces and I love it but there's no way I'd be able to finish the bottle in 6 months lol
Hi I'm Loretta De Los Rios using Frank's account to make this comment with his permission. I know for sure the Numbuzin no. 3 glowing ESSENCE is not good for sensitive skin. It burned mine.Way too many extracts. And way too many ferments ! that mixture with the other ingredients is a bomb for sensitive skin. Maybe other skin types too ? Not sure. Sarah it's the mixture of the tons of extracts with the ferments together! that is very bad for sensitive skin. Way too many extracts ! = WAY TOO much fragrance. 🙏✝️👍
I agree. I was initially excited to try Numbuzin 3 too because it's very popular here in Korean, but unfortunately, it's not suitable for my acne prone skin. 😢 I tried Missha essence by the way. I think it's suitable for sensitive skin, but I didnt notice any significant changes on my skin. I'm still thinking which essence I should try next.

Numbuzin #3 serum is a good fermented product

I just ordered that!...Has it seemed to brighten your skin at all?, moisturize?
I’ve been loving the Physicians Formula one.
