Could you speak to the color pallet of art nouveau, especially in comparison to other ideas that also drew from nature, like hyper-realism?
Always of two minds that it was more working with materials that were readily available than a conscious choice.

Ooh, that's a great idea and question, @quintessenceSL ! Yes, I would be more than happy to make a video and do an analysis of what we can discover between the two!
Yes, that's very true. It really depends on what they had back in the day and what was readily available. They did get quite detailed works by directly drawing from nature, but I don't believe they had in mind to make it "Hyper-realistic" Since they wanted a more design and decorative aspect to it. But yes! I'll do more research and see what I can discover about the two! Thank you so much for commenting and being curious! Love that about you! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and looking forward to discovering more art with you! Thanks for watching!

@@victoriayuart As someone who has very limited color intuition, I always think about the color choices, especially for something as iconic as nouveau (very muted, almost watercolor choices).

@@quintessenceSL Color choices play a big role in expressing the feeling and mood of the artwork. So it's great how much you focus on color and why we use these kinds of colors. 🥰🥰
One thing I can mention is having more muted and neutral colors like you mentioned in Art Nouveau makes the art closer to nature. It gives a sense of tranquility and calmness.

What I like about art noveau is how easily it can be replicated on the digital medium
