Brilliant. I play the HN here in the Macedon Ranges, Australia but this is outer worldly. Emilia is one of the best players in the world and she has gathered other musos equal.
When I hear this Music and watch the instruments, I'm feeling transported back in time to the reality of 'The Canterbury Tales' by Geoffrey Chaucer. I'd be honored to invite this music group to play at my Castle in Northern Denmark in connection with my Parable 'Satan and the Swineherd', all the best from me, ❤🙏 (Author Stephan Attia)
Is this typical of Swedish folk music, or is your group focused on world music? The first tune sounded like it has a lot of middle eastern influence. I am listening from America, and I'm enjoying your concert.
Very ”correctly” heard! :) the first tune is made by Dan Knagg, he wanted to make a polska (traditional Swedish 3/4 dance tune) but make it as non-polska sounding as possible… :) very much middle eastern influences in that one yes! All or our tunes/songs are newly composed by us in the band, and they are kind of very rooted in Swedish trad BUT with loads of influences from latin america, the middle east, sometimes west/north/east africa and pop and jazz.. and flamenco.. and so on… both when it comes to scales, rhythms in the melody or rhythmical components in arrangements etc etc! :) glad you like it!! All the best!
Myself and my 3rd, Ollie, watching from Kansas (descendants of Lindsborg)
