Strength to Strength Sisters welcomed Dorcas Showalter to share on intentional growth, specifically through the ways of reflection with prayer and journaling.
Often amidst the difficulties in this broken world, we can feel stuck between what is our reality and what we wish our lives would be like. Through many of these times in her own life, Dorcas learned that reflecting deeply on certain intentional questions alongside prayer and journaling, she was able to continually move forward in growth.

This is a very encouraging talk and I bless you, Dorcas. I love God's Word and have read it through many times, and as I struggled to recover from some things that happened in my life, I wrote down, during that time, reading through the Bible, what He says about Himself, and what He says about me as His daughter. It was so comforting and faith-building, and is a blessing to look back over.

Reading or listening to the Bible, cover to cover, is priceless. Every time, you learn so much more. Don't wait for life to slow down, so that you can feel you have enough time to read the Bible....just read it as you can!

Highly recommend watching, Dorcas is an amazing example. I wish Gods blessings on her life. Following Gods will for ones life is a highway full of testing, struggle and learning, there is hope . We do have have a blue print , the Holy Bible, it is a very practical guide , personal advice for each one. When you read Gods promises, blessings, songs, warnings... I advise you to insert your own name , God wants you to get to know him in a very intimate way. He loves each one of us sooooo much more than we can imagine, so long suffering, sooooo merciful.... And he's waiting for you to come over and WANT to accept his gifts for you. Live well for God, Dorcas

I would like to ask, what is the book you referenced about Christian marriage that a friend gave you?
