A very useful video thanks. I encountered a similar problem taking video of the Sun, I noticed as the 1minute video progressed the Sun was moving across the rooftops. It made me realise how important getting your Dwarf3 levelled properly is.
@yourfavoriteastronerd ¡Gracias, Diana! Qué bueno saber que la gorra ya está en camino. Estaré atento a su llegada y te avisaré cuando la reciba. Aprecio mucho el esfuerzo que hiciste para enviarla. ¡Un abrazo y seguimos en contacto!
Hi John! Thanks for your beautiful words and support. Yes, I will make a short video showing how to send the Log File to Dwarflab. It is located at the home page under settings. Dwarflab watched my video, and they asked me to send exactly how the starts got messed up, so they can make corrections. I need to record it, but tonight is cloudy, so hopefully in a day or so. Stay tuned John!
I appreciate that so much! Looking forward to your video. I just wasn't sure how would I do that if I had a problem. I would love to supply to Dwarf if something happened but I want to make sure I can send them the info they need. Again, thanks so much!
@@johnwatzke7174 Yes, the instructions are on the Dwarflab website under Dwarf 3 troubleshooting. I will make short videos showing these steps as they are essential. I just finished recording what Dwarflab asked regarding the bad stars, so in a couple of days, we will have a better solution or reason. Diana
Thanks again for your cool and very useful incites here. Since I first saw it I tried taking M45 with my D3 and found the same problem that you found, generally poor tracking for many of the 150 60s 60gain subframes. I checked them like you did in Pixinsight. I have got to say though the final stacked image the D3 made with its final processing using the built in AI de-noise tool made an almost flawless picture though. 😊
Hi Dave! I have other friends who had the same problem. I sent Dwarflab the Log files back then, and they couldn't find the problem. I still believe it suffers from poor tracking occasionally. The problem is with the stacked image. Most new users will use the stacked image, which won't look good unless we delete the bad frames. Thanks for your comment and for your support! Happy New Year! Diana
@@yourfavoriteastronerd Wishing you a Happy New Year too! Incidentally the stacked image I made looked fine unless I zoomed right in then the stars looked slightly elongated. I wondered if the AI Denoise process deselected the frames with bad stars? Thanks for your efforts taken to contact DwarfLab.
Hello! I am planning to buy a dwarf 3. If I've seen it correctly, to get the EQ mode you have to set the device to horizontal and then rotate it to the angle you want. I also have a ball head tripod. How can this be done?
@zalanv9490 Hi Zalan! For the Dwarf telescopes, yes, just level telescope horizontally. It doesn't need to be perfect, and then once you know your latitude angle, that's the one you use to tilt the telescope. I have several videos showing my technique to polar align fast. I found that using the ball head makes it very easy and fast to get. I am going to release another video tomorrow showing how you can do multiple targets in one night without touching the telescope. Thanks for watching my video and for your comment!
Hi i get also star trails i cant fix this. I used dwarf 2 for one year now almost no problems. And now i get star trails i try calibration many times and still i get star trails. I use normal alt z mode 15 sec exposure. It was working before now its not working.

Hi Reiner. I have to explain more because many Dwarf telescope owners and new owners don't know about any of this, they dont have the experience we have using telescopes . They don't know the reasons, and that needs to be explained. Thanks for your comment and time. Diana ❤

I love the ASTRO filter images. Thanks for the video. It was very useful .
Great to hear!
Very helpful! Thanks Diana!
Wow! Great results. I liked the astro filter edited.
Thank you for the video Diana! I can’t wait “to suffer” from these problems 😅
I am still waiting for my D3…

Wasn't sure about the steps you used to report a problem. Could you go over that like step one two three. Thanks! John
