Quick update: I wrote in my Hobonichi and it looks closer to a caramel or light coffee stain color hehe after I’m done using this, I may mix in a slightly darker brown! (Edit: I added a tiny bit of Sailor Ink Studio 680 and it’s a lovely medium coffee color now🤎)

You are so brave inking a VP with a Kakimori ink! Keep us posted as to how it goes. People scared me off of kakimori inks but they seem so interesting
Mariiiii, I'm a bit nervous, too! haha BUT I just mixed in a little bit of a darker brown (Sailor Ink Studio 680), so that will probably water it down a little! If the ink gives me issues, I'll definitely make a video or post about it at the very least hehe I have several Kakimori inks just because the colors were so beautiful!
Yena! So good to see you back here on the YTs 🥰 Kakimori and De Atramentis Doc inks are the only inks I use because they do not smear (an essential for me!) It's ok to mix these pigment inks as long as you mix within the same brand, I do this often to get just the right hue! With permanent pigment inks, just be sure to not let it sit too long between uses (I use mine daily!) and do regular cleaning maintenance to prevent buildup in the nib (I do a cleaning after I've used up all the ink!) Hope you enjoy this lovely brown shade and have fun! 💕
Omg hi Christine! Thanks so much for the tips!!! So.. I probably shouldn’t have mixed the Pilot ink in… HAHA I didn’t even know it was a permanent ink lol thanks so much and I’ll be sure to do a cleaning after I’ve used the ink! ✨
I never knew what that sliver thing in the box was for. Thanks for showing that. Now I need to go put it on my cartridge!
Omg saaame 😭 I didn’t use it until I got my second pen lol it still works without it, but the nib doesn’t protrude as much and it’s slightly more loose!
