@@NYRNGR1 I agree personally never knew they looked all that tattered & think about it the old uniforms were used again for the International Roller Skating League what till 1986 just before the close of the International Roller Skating League.
@@georgegong6813 I think they used them until maybe '85. The following year the teams all got new uniforms courtesy of ESPN for the Silver Cup Tournament, I think, but I could be wrong.
This game was nice to watch, but the year was 1973... The Jolters had Noreen Gallagher, Delores Roberson and Claudia Hobdy, I thought they were all on the Chiefs at this time. I'm super confused now.....
When the roller derby was big in the Bay Area in the early 70's Buddy Atkinson Sr had a training center over in Alameda off Webster street
i really miss this great sport
Bob Fritz How do you score?
Feelings are mutual!

Chet Coppick doing the play by play. Amazing.
I wrote down the training center address and will send a postcard back in time.
This is the game where they tried to get over Villenuava (?) Didn't work. She just wasn't tough enough to deal with the likes of Vallow.
If you weren't around... i actually feel bad for what you missed
Denis Wilson. Nobody alive now was around for the birth of JESUS CHRIST, but I wouldnt feel BAD!! for anyone not seeing it!!
I much prefer the old Pioneer uniforms don't know why they bothered to change it to this one!
From what I heard they just got too old and ragged so they went with these instead of getting new ones made.
@@lasktdave Makes sense from an economic standpoint I assume. Even though they were re used later in the IRSL for what 6 years!?
@@georgegong6813 8 years. They couldn't have been that bad.

What city did the Pioneers represent? Thank you and God bless you.
Chicago, I think. Friend's grandad brought me here. That's where they played.
Michael n`glleo. CHICAGO!!
I remember "The Golden Girl."

They should bring it back. Not the watered downed version they been doing for years.
