    Counting on You | Storytelling
Some of the most powerful words in the English language are the ones that have more than one meaning. "Counting" is a way of taking inventory. For recipients of the lifesaving, life-changing gift of organ donation, the counting keeps going; every day is a chance to cover more miles on a bike, train another athlete or teach another student. These individuals are literally counting the moments and the milestones. At the same time, “counting” can mean dependence-on the donors, caregivers, nonprofits, industry, healthcare providers, and practitioners that make the miracle transplantation possible.
While Counting on you acknowledges everyone along the transplant journey, none is more celebrated than the people whose lives go on thanks to the gift of another’s heart, kidney, lung, liver, or other precious organ. To all the recipients, we affirm one simple message: "The world is a better place simply because you are in it."
