I put this question on my Facebook page a while back. A lot of people didn't understand the question. Not even some of the so-called "Christians!"
Jesus is not going to say to the sheep or the goats: did you go to church? Did you tithed? Did you speak in tongues? Did you cast out demons? Did you keep the Sabbath? Did you worship God on Saturday or on Sunday?
Jesus is going to say to the goats: when I was thirsty you gave me no drink.. when I was hungry you gave me no meat.. when I was naked you clothed me not.. when I was sick or in jail you visited me not.. when I was a stranger you took me not in..
And the goats are going to say to Jesus: when did we see you thirsty and gave you no drink? Hungry and gave you no meat? Naked and clothed you not? Sick or in jail and visited you not? A stranger and took you not in?
Jesus is going to answer the goats and say: when you didn't do it to the least of these brethren, you did it not to me...
The goats shall go into everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, because they didn't love Jesus or neighbor. Matthew 25:31-46

maybe if we have artists singers who dedicate their time to publicly speaking the word of god. have long speaking sessions sing his word become role models in a modern stylish fashion, study and really work harder to send out messages to the public, speak his word don't you think this would be an oppertunity to promote god... an oppertunity to preach the word to praise him . i want to be a sheep........ I've sinned... i'm in the process of repentance . i desperately wish forgiveness.. because the fear of god is within me
I wake up every morning and go to sleep listening to Pastor Jenkins. Thank you so much for making me a better Christian. My Christian walk is one that I won't walk away from.

Thank you so much. This is a much better explanation of the sheep-goat judgment than most of the commentaries. But it still does not home in on the essential basis for the judgment.
Yes, as stated here, it is definitely not the judgment at the end of the age or the end of life based upon the atoning blood of Yeshua/Jesus. That judgment is featured elsewhere and showcased in the parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13.
So the sheep-goat judgment is not a judgment based upon whether or not person is saved or whether or under the atoning blood of Christ. Nor is it a judgment of eternal destiny in heaven just based merely upon works.
Here is what the commentators have missed, not understanding blood covenant. In limiting their discussion to “grace vs. works” from Ephesians 2:8-9 they are not understanding the wider matter of blood covenant. The redeemed, the saved, the born-again, those who know Messiah one-on-one are in first order blood covenant. But there is a second-order blood covenant. This would be a blood covenant judgment of a person who does not know Messiah based upon the testimony and the “good word” of another person who does know Messiah. Second order blood covenant favor is based upon the blood covenant lovingkindness the person in question showed to the friend of Messiah. This is blood covenant judgment mediated by a third party.
Here is what is really going on in this sheep-goat judgment. The sheep, (just like the goats), did not know Messiah personally. They were not saved or born-again. If they had, then they would have been taken up and glorified into new spiritual bodies at he end of the age. They would have been snatched up in the harpazo, in the Harvest, in the Resurrection-Rapture. BUT, the sheep are given favor, given a passport for entry into the Millennium of Messiah and with this the entry into the Kingdom of Messiah is God’s plan for their ultimate salvation.
So what is the basis for the divine favor granted to the sheep and denied to the goats? The answer lies in the words of the returning Christ to these mortals who have survived the Tribulation. He says,
“Inasmuch as you (showed blood covenant lovingkindness) to these my brethren, you did it to me”.
This is second-order blood covenant, Messianic favor given to an unsaved person and mediated through a third party, someone who DOES know Messiah.

Matthew 25 concerning the 10 virgins and sheep and goat nations takes place at the end of the Tribulation. The Church is caught up before the Tribulation begins.
All the book of Matthew is doctrinal instruction for the Jews, the Church is not found in Matthew.
Doctrinal instruction for the Church is found in the 13 books beginning with the word "Paul".
Matthew 24:29 Jesus Himself said ,immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken 30 says, and then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven....then 31 .

👍 am working on sheep and goat judgment and yes rapture of the church or more clarity the BODY of CHRIST AMEN then 7 years of Jacob trouble and once JESUS CHRIST saves Israel then the sheep and goat judgment. Sheep am thinking is Israel and BELIEVES and goats are the gentiles nations. Still studying and praying and researching.

@@OSAS-SIMPLEMAN-IN-CHRIST yes, it's a very interesting study. Consider Mat 25:32 that says nations. The judgement very well maybe a judgement of the gentile nations and how they treated the Jews during the Trib. Basically did they side with the antichrist or God? Notice Christ says how you treated my brethren.
This is a lie, everyone faces judgement. If you live according to faith and righteousness, if you administer justice and help those who are in need, if you love what God loves and follow what he says then you’ll be saved.
