Needs a spacer block at bottom to keep from tilting. Also.. Hopefully your studs are all 16 center. Not always the case. And not always have a centered stud. But still good vid.
I agree. It appears that he's mounted 2 straight stripes of wood one on top of the other. How is placing 2 stripes on top of each other going to stop that king-sized headboard from tilting forward and coming off of the wall?
I think that most headboards come with the legs detached so you can adjust their height. I don't think you'll save money if you can find one without legs.
I’ve been waiting 9 years for the second video to see how it looks with the bed placed in front of it.
Outstanding explanation of how to hang a headboard. A great big thank you.
Thanks for the video, very well explain.
very nice presentation - very nice man. thank you
This guy is a genius. Mind blown.
I’m concerned are the other screws going into the wooden studs ? Thanks
Yes. He's drilling them directly into the studs...16" apart is code.
Thank you. I just purchased a headboard and somehow misplaced the instructions. Thanks to your video, I now know what yo do! 😁
Thank you for the informative video!
Nice work
Great video, thanks!
Would the headboard lift off when you have an adjustable bed that lifts the head of the bed up for reading? We have a Tempurpedic adjustable bed
I hope he's using a French cleat. He did mention at 5:12 about a 45 degree cut, but wasn't real clear about it.
Same thing
beautiful!!!

You can add own video if you think you can do better

And.... who are you?
I don't need a video.. adding info to this video.
He's not wrong. He doesn't need a video @@sb9297
The headboard is nice! What is the brand?
but wont it fall forward somehow? I mean there is no ' real fitting '
Kyzzle Kay there's a fittiing its called a french cleet
+Gnarly 0ne yup french cleat, for a tall headboard, should have put another piece of wood on bottom so the headboard doesn't tilt forward a bit.
All of our headboards were built with a spacer on the bottom of the headboard to hold it perpendicular to the wall
@@vcinquemani3rd That's not a french cleat. Take a look: th-cam.com/video/DmLQkRDOgOE/w-d-xo.html

Could you do a video to take an attached headbourd on the wall off? Without damaging the wall
I can't find a wall mount only headboard with no legs like this one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

don't know if it's my computer or your video, but I can hardly hear you
Where's the follow-up video...? I want to see how it turns out to figure out the exact height and width of the headboard I'm making. Thanks!
If u please tell me What is the wall color name ?
I think you should have used a smaller level.
Just glue the head board you are making to much work
Splendidly to see woodglut have new plans which helped me save some money and energy for this construction.
