This is true but, as a SHINee fan since their debut, it still sounds to me more like an NCT or SuperM song. Each time in the past when they’ve come out with a “new” sound or style, I was like “this is very different but very SHINee (ex: Sherlock, View, Good Evening).” I know the BTS story that Minho asked for this song but at the same time, it seems like something SM would choose and not something the members would usually go for. But, I KNOW Shinee can pull off any concept and maybe they do want to also try this style bc it does align with the current SM style and they wanted to try it after such a long break. I’m not complaining or saying the song is bad - I think the song is great! I’m just trying to explain why there are people who think it’s “not Shinee.” You know what I mean?

They were going for something which will grab 4th generation K Pop fans to them and they succeeded.. The members did want this song as their title track and did several different takes before they settled with this one. They worked extra hard on the vocals and the choreography. That choreography was the hardest presentation they've ever done. They admitted that on several interviews. The whole album was amazing and if you're looking for older style SHINee, the b-sides are on point with that. They even incorporated retro sounds like 70's-80's funk/disco eras. This is totally SHINee's style. Anyone that thinks otherwise, doesn't know them at all.
i think it's veeeeeery shinee in that it sounds like shinee even if it's also not shinee? that's what shinee has always been about. even the dance is very shinee-esque with moves that are just so shinee! and the harmonies, the color even in the chorus and rap parts, SO SHINEE. like who even thought shinee would do dubstep with everybody but the chorus still had that pop melody sound that blends shinee's voices so well.

Ace and Diddy, I love your shout outs about Minho's swagger and personal style in this video. I agree with you, Minho walked into that door looking all Fit and like a delicious RED, Tall Boss!! His intro and presence throughout this video, never missed a step. Minho looked sooooooo good. And, the choreography was snapping, I also enjoyed that little "Leg step" movements that the guy's did during that bridge part. I thought, that dance move was so smooth and tight as Hell. Their dancing is amazing. The vocals were strong too, love the chorus parts of the song. The visuals were beautiful in this as well, especially Minho's visual. He was on another level with his different outfits, and again, I truly love seeing grown adult men wearing suits. Minho looked gorgeous in his suit, surrounded by that vibrant Red background. Red truly fits Minho well, just a hint of naughtiness. Anyway, this song is a huge vibe, as well as the video. And, shout out to Diddy who mentioned about the "Black Widow" film. As a science fiction/comic book fan myself, I am also wondering when and where is the film going to come out. However, I am patient. The piano was a nice touch. I know people were complaining that it doesn't sound like a SHINee song but SHINee owned this song!!!
