Fantastic. It blows my mind how after years and years of people just accepting the insane randomness of an old game from well more than a decade ago and spending 800 to 1,000 duels just to get one card, we finally get information like this showing how the drops can be fixed without cheating or expert hacking. No hardcore researcher of this game ever ceases to amaze me in showing how much depth this game really has.

Today I can only play this game through smartphone at the way to work and I don't have your free time to spend hours playing more than 1000 duels, that's ridiculous.
FM isn't a HARD game, its just a BORING GAME. Difficulty has nothing to do with tons of time to achieve any goal and for the mechanics of FM, it's IMPOSSIBLE to make this game HARD, the only thing you can do is turn this game boring as hell.

      Hacking is same as cheating

  • @GFC_FM
    @GFC_FM  6 ปีที่แล้ว +172

To those who call this cheating: It's debatable for sure, but I personally don't regard this as illegitimate. The reason for this is that you can do it on any normal console at any time without any extra hardware or software.
All this video shows you is how to figure out when to press certain buttons when playing the game. That's it. Once you know when to press certain buttons to win certain cards, you can do it anywhere at any time without anything extra.
What I mean by "anything extra" is this. Think about ways you can actually cheat. Card duplication? Requires 3 memory cards and bypasses the "Duelist ID" system that was put into place specifically to stop you from card duping. Using an emulator to activate cheats like "Get all cards" or turning off frame limit? Those are obvious cheats as they're altering the game and the way it's played in some way.
Now, what about glitching? Even glitching can be considered "illegitimate" play for most users, because you're making the game do something or act in a way it wasn't designed to.
But what about RNG manipulation, which is what we're doing here? Well, a we're doing is using the game's code to LEARN more about the game. We're then USING that information to hit certain buttons at certain times.
The main reason I consider this legitimate is this. Once you learn how to do a specific manipulation, all you need is a PS1, the original game disc, one memory card, and one controller. That's it. You don't need ANYTHING else once you've done your homework.
PLUS, you're not actually changing anything about the game. You're not making the game do anything differently than it normally does. For example (and these numbers are just hypothetical), if you start a new game on frame 100, your starting deck with have 3 dragons and 3 thunders. Period. That's just true, forever. On frame 100, you get a specific 40 card deck every time. If you didn't watch this video, and you had no idea what RNG manipulation was, and you turned on the game and hit new game on frame 100 just by pure coincidence, guess what? You'd get that exact 40 card deck that has 3 dragons 3 thunders. Every time. All this video helps you do is RECOGNIZE what happens at certain frames.
Did you know that you don't even need any external tools to do this, technically? You could theoretically figure out ALL of this without using a script or entering the game's code once. All you'd have to do is reset the console over and over and do thousands and thousands of trial-and-error duels to find the right outcome. What this video does is provides you a script to do that process instead.
So, everything shown in this video can be done without the script. It can be done without looking at the game's code. It can ALL be done with JUST an original console, original game disc, original memory card, and original controller. AND, it can ALL be done without altering how the game works. This is the NORMAL function of the game, with no changes.
To me, that's what legitimacy is like.

Forbidden Memories is one of those games that I can just never seem to stop playing. It all started in the late 90s, playing it for the first time during the height of the Yugioh craze. But the game was way too hard back then and I didn't know how to beat it. A few years later, we had drop lists for duelists, and with MBD as a drop from Meadow Mage, beating the game was actually possible with a bit of luck. Then there was the craze about all the *UNCONFIRMED* drops like PUGM from Anubisius, BEUD from Seto 3rd, Gate Guardian from Heishin 2nd, etc. which had me playing even more to try and get those. Then a few years later after all that was debunked, we got a modded version of the game that actually had all the cards obtainable as winnable drops. And now, here we are a few years later and we can now RNG abuse on the actual physical hardware and have people speedrunning. This game just never stops being fun and the way we play it is always evolving!

What hype in the 90s if the card game came out in 2002 in the USA and the anime the year before outside Japan? There was no hype in the 90s you lying bastard. Lol also the game came put in 9 of December 1999 in Japan and 2002 in the west. Did you really play it in "the late 90s" ? When you had 3 weeks left of that decade and in Japanese? Were you in Japan at that time and play it on the day or release? Lmao okay buddy.

EVERYONE: It has come to my attention that the script will NOT work on SOME certain languages other than English. The reason is interesting AND is fixable.
WATCH THIS VIDEO FOR THE FIX - th-cam.com/video/hVvsBRAwdF8/w-d-xo.html
At the very end of every duel, the words "YOU WIN" appear. The animation of the letters for "YOU WIN" advances the frame count by a certain amount, which obviously changes the drop.
The script provided in this video accounts for this. However, it only accounts for the animation when there are SEVEN (7) letters on the screen. For English, that is the letter Y, O, U, then the "Space" character, then W, I, and N, giving a total of 7 characters.
In some other languages, the overall count is NOT 7 characters. IF your language's "YOU WIN" screen has any MORE or any LESS than 7 characters (INCLUDING the space), the script will NOT work properly.
However, if the "YOU WIN" screen for your language has exactly 7 characters (including the space), then you're totally fine.
Now, there IS a quick and easy way to fix this. Tomorrow morning, I am going to write a quick tutorial on how to do so, courtesy of GenericMadScientist.
I am ALSO going to try my best to create various download links in the description for versions of the script that are edited to work with DIFFERENT LANGUAGES.
Currently, I have one made for ITALIAN. If you want me to edit the script for YOUR language, please REPLY to this comment telling me what LANGUAGE it is and HOW MANY CHARACTERS the "You Win" screen is (counting the space).
    Thank you!

I won Metalzoa 4 years ago after 760 duels vs sebek with no rng manipulation. Unfortunately, I accidentally saved a new game on that file so I no longer have my Metalzoa.
A year and a half ago I set out to try and reclaim it. My deck now has even better equips (3x megamorph, 2x dragon treasure, 2x bright castle) however I am struggling to reclaim as I have hit 715 duels on this account. I may have to try and do this method, luckily I took a programming course this semester and understood everything in that script.

I remember my brother having over 700 wins against meadow mage and 800 on heishin and he managed to nab a meteor and a red eyes dragon but 90% of the time one of those would be the last few cards in his deck so that meteor b fusion barely ever helped him in a duel

Great video. I barely noticed the time flying. You do a very good job at explaining. I watched 2 other your videos and this seems to be true for them as well. You do an amazing job on writing a script.
But bro, I really liked this game a lot as a kid, but after seeing my suspicions about enemies cheating when they play cards confirmed, and how infuriating it is to win cards, or how the rank system works, I'm actually start to hate the game LOL. Poor kid me, man.
At any rate, if I ever were to attempt playing this game again, and tried this, I feel like I'd have a lot of trouble getting right, down to the frame. As if it'd be better to rely on blind luck that to do this method.
How difficult do you, as a speedrunner, find doing this on a scale of 1 to 10?
Also, I read some comments and I laugh at how dumb people are. This video is explained to the T, and somehow you idiots call this "altering the game's files" or "hacking" lol. You were never a teacher's/mentor's favorite student, of that I am sure.

    • @GFC_FM
      @GFC_FM  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hey I really appreciate the kind words man! I've always really enjoyed taking complicated concepts and explaining them in simpler terms.
As far as your thought that it would likely be easier to rely on luck if you returned to playing this game than using RNG manipulation, you're absolutely correct haha.
There is just a lot of groundwork you need to lay before you can even begin to ATTEMPT to hit the correct frame to win the card you want, and even once you reach that point, actually hitting said frame is exceedingly difficult.
For casual gameplay, I'm not sure it would be the best option to do rng manipulation.
Once you're familiar with creating your own rng manips, it doesn't take too long, so I guess it really depends. The first time you attempt to use this method, it's probably going to take a few hours for you to get familiar with everything and fully understand it. Your first manip you create will be, by far, the most time consuming.
However, once you've done it once, doing it again is generally a lot faster.
So, I guess it really depends on what card you're going for and whether or not you already have spent the time doing that first manip or not.
For example, I would say it probably isn't worth using this method to win Meteor B. Dragon from Meadow Mage, as that card has a 20/2048 chance of dropping. Those odds are already pretty decent in the grand scheme of things.
However, if you're going for something like Metalzoa from Sebek, which is a 4/2048, now the time investment of learning rng manipulation is looking more reasonable.
I would say it also depends on how many copies of the same card you want.
If you only want 1 Metalzoa, and you've never touched rng manipulation before, it's probably best to just farm it out.
But the good thing about rng manipulation is that, once you spend the time to learn how to do it, and you create that manipulation to win Metalzoa or whatever else, you can use that exact same method over and over again to win as many copies of the card as you want.
It will almost certainly be WAY faster to learn rng manipulation, create an rng manipulation for Metalzoa, and perform it correctly 3 times, than it would to legitimately win the card 3 times. Of course you could get super good luck and win 3 of them within a few minutes, but overall the odds, I'd say, are far higher of rng manipulation being faster.
It also matters whether or not you're actually interested in the inner workings of this game. If you don't find rng manipulation interesting, or you don't find the inner workings of FM interesting, and you plan on using rng manipulation SOLELY as a tool for getting cards you want, then it's probably best to just farm for them normally. Making your own rng manipulations can be tedious work if it doesn't interest you.
But, if you are interested in how it all works, then I'd personally say to give it a try.
Remember, that first manipulation you make (presumably while slowly going through my video, step by step) is going to be the most difficult, because it's your first time doing it. You have to download all of the files, follow along with the video to learn how they work, mess around with it to see how you can change it to work in your specific case, etc. Then you have to do your first attempts at actually hitting the frame for the manipulation you created, which is an entirely different skill that you'll need to practice a bit to sort of get used to it.
But once you've done all of that once, doing it again becomes much MUCH simpler, faster, and overall easier.
So yeah, I'd say whether or not it's worth it would depend on how much interest you have in the method itself, rather than solely using it as a tool to win cards you want. It also depends on what card(s) you want, and whether you want 1 copy or a full playset of 3.
As far as using this method in speedruns go, I'd put the difficulty at around a 7, if we're just talking about the actual mechanical skill required. The amount of research and routing that goes into a full rng manipulation speedrun is absolutely insane, and I'd easily rate that amount of work a 10 haha. I'm talking dozens and dozens of hours of work required before you even pick up the controller.
But, once that route is completed, it's a ton of fun in my opinion.
There are many many different, totally separate, rng manips within a full game speedrun. Some are quite easy and consistent, and some are extremely difficult and inconsistent.
One big issue is that there are very slight differences in loading times that can potentially mess up extremely precise manips. Add that to how insanely precise the timing is (1/60th of a second), along with things like input delay and, at times this precise, even monitor refresh rates, and sometimes, with these more precise manips during the speedrun, it can feel almost luck based whether you hit it or not. There's just so many factors layered on top of a massive mechanic skill requirement that even what feels like perfect timing can feel as though it's a 50/50 whether it works or not sometimes.
I will say, multiple members of the community have been working on a new rng manipulation route for the speedrun. They've been working on it for a very, very long time (I believe over a year now, if not more), but it's just about completed.
Once it's finished, it will become possible to go through the entire game, start to finish, without resetting the console a single time.
If you've watched any rng manipulation speedruns until now, you've probably noticed the console resets. This brings the frame count back to 0 so we can hit the same manip multiple times. In other cases, it just makes it easier to reset the frame count back to 0 before we go for a manip, and in other cases (such as winning 3 MBDs), we just want to win the same card 3 times, so just re-doing the same manip 3 times is easiest.
However, the new route doesn't do this. Instead of being like "okay, we can win MBD at frame 1000, so let's hit frame 1000, reset the console, hit frame 1000 again, etc, until we win 3 MBD", NOW it will be a chain manip. So the first MBD will stay on frame 1000, but if we successfully hit that manip, we know we are on frame 1000, so now we create a manip to win MBD that comes AFTER frame 1000, for this example let's say frame 2000.
So instead of resetting and doing the same strategy 3 times in a row, we hit the first MBD on frame 1000, then immediately do another rng manip to get another on frame 2000, and so on.
This is significantly harder for multiple reasons. For one, just creating the route takes an ABSURD amount of time extra. Because, instead of making 1 manip and using it 3 times, we have to make 3 separate manips.
Even with all that work completed, actually performing them during a run also becomes astronomically more difficult.
Right now, with console resets, if I win MBD 1, but then fail the manip for MBD 2, I can just reset the console and try again from frame 0. It isn't ideal of course as it loses time, but the option is there.
But since the entire game is going to be one massive rng manipulation chain, that means if you fail any manip, at any point during the run, it's over. Your frame count will be off, which means your frame count will be off for every subsequent manip, so the run is over.
This basically means that, if you fail a manip at any point during the run, you either kill the run and reset, or you continue the run normally without rng manipulation from that point on.
It will be insanely difficult. But, if someone manages to do it, all in one big, uninterrupted rng manipulation chain? The final time will be truly legendary: it would truly be the perfect run.
If this perfect run is pulled off, using this new route, the final time will be under 1 hour.
That will be the holy grail of Forbidden Memories speedrunning: the sub 1 hour. It will be the biggest accomplishment possible in FM speedrunning, and in my opinion one of the biggest accomplishments in speedrunning in general.
When this route is finished and released, I'm sure there will be multiple people grinding for that sub 1 hour time, in order to make history.
And you can bet your ASS that I'll be one of them!
I will do everything in my power to become the first person to beat the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, on original hardware, with the original game disc, with 0 modifications or hacks, in less than 1 hour.
Sorry for the long reply, but again I really appreciate your comment and I hope to see you around in the streams when the sub 1 grind inevitably begins in the coming months!
Cheers and have a great night, day, week, month, year, decade, and life,

@@GFC_FM Yeah, that's kinda what I figured on the 'trying to do use this method' part. I would probably only attempt it if I was extremely fed up with getting drops with blind luck after god knows how many duels. I've done a small amount of frame perfect stuff in video games, but not on exact running frames.
I saw your speedrun right after watching this video, the '[Former WR]... in 1:11:32!' and I saw some of this in action. If I'm understanding this right, if I get into a duel at frame 1000 and I do some actions that lead me to frame 1500, when I come out of a duel the game continues counting 60 frames per second from there until I get into the next duel, right? If that's how it works, then you had to find and make calculations for which deck to get first so that you can later find what hand needs which cards for the correct amount of frame advances so that you can chain the entire run. That's probably so difficult that it rescales the scale of 10. I'd put it at like a 1000 out of 10. Makes a year of looking into spreadsheets almost sound fast lol. Unless I'm getting it wrong.
Don't worry about the long reply. I wish I was this passionate about things to be honest hahah.
Good luck on getting world first sub 1 hour when the time comes.

Beating this game without using scripts , tools or manipulation. That’s the honest way to beat this game . You honestly may as well use a cheat hack to start the game with 3mbd’s if you are just going to launch a script to count the game for you or whatever and indicate to you when you should proceed for an advantageous outcome in your favor . It takes away from the games integrity . That said , I’ve seen you do races of this game with no rng manipulation and beat the game in vanilla . So I think it’s fine for you to do this , but it’s not honest . It’s not really impressive to manipulate your victory . I think this games a great buy , because to beat it honestly requires a lot of time and grinding . P.S I’m doing a race along against your no rng manipulation video and I’m keeping up . OK, I was mostly wrong. What was happening was that in the process of limiting the pool of seeds, I ended up choosing the wrong ones. There's just too many that look exactly the same, only differing perhaps in the drop. But since you're dumping cards to identify your frame ASAP, you won't know which is which. In generating the csv starting from seed 1, at least I think I was able to pinpoint the seed by substracting or adding. The closest I got to the frames I wanted was an error of 30. I gave up, and just went back to the campaign, were the character that was giving me issues just decided to not play MBD.

I can't get this to work with Meadow Mage.
Does the script take into account the possibility of the CPU using Field Spells like Sogen? Because I get the right cards to line up in the script, do the process, but when he activates Sogen he isn't summoning a monster to destroy so I hold off on attacking with my second monster on turn 2 - thus keeping it at 1 direct attack like in the script. But the card drop does not match and it's always a card a few frames down the list.
    Any help is appeciated, thanks.

@@GFC_FM The biggest issue I've run into with this is that it immediately invalidates a large amount of potential manipulations; because the script never accounts for non-monster cards being played, you can't tell which routes are valid and which are not. If I have 6 frames clustered together that will drop Skull Knight, and Meadow Mage ACTUALLY opens by playing with Sogen on all of them, none of them will drop Skull Knight, and without being able to add that variable in, you basically have to means-test every single possible listed frame and hope one of them doesn't open with Sogen. It's a compounded problem: you can't screen out seeds that open with Sogen by adding conditional formatting, and you can't adjust with a manipulation that includes a Sogen play. If you could discover how much a Sogen play added to the seed while keeping everything else identical, you might be able to adjust, but until then...

However, with the pocketstation on the JP version, you can get up to 720 cards out of 722. But again, yes you can ritual summon it, but that only allows you to use the card in that duel. It doesn't give you the card itself.
There is no way to get just the card itself. It does not drop anywhere in the game. Again, this is the game's code telling us this. So no, you never did win an ultimate dragon. No one did. Because it's literally not coded into the game to be winnable, regardless of what you're playing on.

@@GFC_FM Looking at your comments I've seen that you have great knowledge about the game, so I'm asking some questions if you don't mind to answer: firstly, you said that the code explicitely tells that ia impossible to acquire some cards, so is the source code available somewhere? I would love to have a look into it; secondly, is there any explanation why the developers made the decision of letting some cards impossible to obtain? Why would they do it? It's so frustrating.
Thanks for the video, I miss this game dearly, It is good to learn more about it.

    • @GFC_FM
      @GFC_FM  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@gmtfonseca To my knowledge, the source code itself is not publicly available, though I may be incorrect. I've personally not looked into the code, but many people (namely those in the Brazilian community, it seems) have. This is also how and why mods of this game that are so detailed exist. The folks who do know the code of the game have created a few tools to make it easy to edit the game.
Secondly, the developers didn't really make the decision to make some cards unobtainable, technically at least.
You see, Forbidden Memories was originally planned to have 5 ways of obtaining cards. However, when the game was ported to other countries, the 5th way was not possible.
You can obtain a card in Forbidden Memories by winning it, buying it, fusing it, or ritual summoning it. The first two methods actually let you have the card itself while the last two methods (fusing and ritual summoning) only give you control of the card during that duel (which is enough to make it appear in the Card Library in the game).
However, the Japanese version had one other way to get cards.
The Japanese PlayStation One had an accessory called the PocketStation. This device was about the size of a memory card and had a very tiny screen on it. Basically, it connected to the PS1 through infrared (or IR) signals. The Japanese game had a menu function in the Options menu that allowed you to use it.
This had a few functions. One of them was the Card Lottery which gave you a card at random. Another function allowed you to "trade" some cards into it in order to be given a new, more powerful card.
The cards that you think of as unobtainable were actually able to be gotten by using the PocketStation's Card Lottery or trading system.
However, the PocketStation never ended up being supported outside of Japan for Forbidden Memories. So, all of the cards that you used to be able to obtain using the PocketStation became unobtainable outside of Japan.
Interestingly, this is also why some seemingly random cards cost 999999 starchips (or can't be bought). If you look at a starchip code list, you might notice super weak cards that cost 999999. That's because those cards used to be trading materials to make other obtainable cards with the PocketStation.
Now, my guess is that it was some sort of time or money constraint. They had two options: the first was that they would have to edit the game to make the cards winnable. The second was just not doing anything at all and leaving them unobtainable. They obviously went with the first option.
See, if they wanted to edit the game to make the cards winnable on duelist, it would've required a bit more work and planning than you might think.
As you likely know, the odds of winning any card are out of 2048. So, for example, winning Meteor B. Dragon from Meadow Mage has the odds of 20/2048.
If you were to add up the odds of winning every card on Meadow Mage, guess what it would add up to? 2048. Obviously.
That means that if they wanted to make one of those unobtainable cards winnable on someone, say by making it a 2/2048, they can't just add it in. If they added the drop right in, the total would be 2050, and that wouldn't work. So, they'd have to edit other cards to make room.
So if Konami wanted to add an entirely new unobtainable card to Meadow Mages droplist, they'd have to make it so, say Meteor B. Dragon, had a drop rate of 18/2048, in order to make room for that new 2/2048 they added.
Now, making all of those changes for ALL of the unobtainable cards across all of those duelists would simply take up quite a bit of development time. And for what? They had a fully functioning game already. Not to mention it was not even a worry for Japan, which was their original target audience.
Konami had a choice. Either spend extra development time (and thus, extra money) on making quite a few edits to the drop tables of the entire game, and ONLY doing it for copies of the game outside of Japan, OR they could just edit the menu option to remove the PocketStation option (which, even if they left it in, wouldn't had worked outside of Japan). They made the choice to save the money. Honestly, it wasn't a terrible choice and was probably the most business-savvy option at the time.
Keep in mind, when the game was developed and released, Yu-Gi-Oh was only really popular in Japan. Konami was developing the game mainly for the Japanese audience, because they didn't expect Forbidden Memories to sell well in the rest of the world. So why would they dump all that extra money into adding a few extra cards for a game they thought wouldn't be that popular anyway?
Another possibility is that they originally thought that the PocketStation would've been released in the rest of the world.
The PocketStation was released in Japan in 1999, right when Forbidden Memories was released in Japan. So it made sense for them to add PocketStation functionality to the game. However, the PocketStation didn't sell well. It was a bad add-on. Because of this, it was discontinued in 2002.
Guess when Forbidden Memories was released to the rest of the world? 2002.
So another guess is that, when Konami made Forbidden Memories, they planned on the PocketStation eventually being rolled out across the world. That way, when Forbidden Memories was released worldwide, everyone could use the PocketStation to get all of those cards only obtainable using it. However, when the PocketStation flopped, they now had a game that used a device that didn't exist outside of Japan. So, they had a choice to either edit the game or just release it (a choice which I described above).
But don't fret! There are a few mods of Forbidden Memories that make it so you can win those PocketStation-only cards as drops on certain duelists. I know at least one mod exists that changes NOTHING expect for making those cards and drops available. Doing a bit of Google Searching can point you in the right direction to downloading them.
      Cheers!

Just spent some time fiddling around trying to get the script to run. There must have been some changes to one of the python libraries at some point since the version 3.6.5 linked in the description, as version 3.8 was unable to run the script as of Feb 5th 2022. Version 3.6.5 of python ran it no problems.
Putting this out there for others running into the same issue, if you have something later than 3.6.5 and it doesn't run, roll it back and it should be fine

An exact amount of Direct Attack can be taken in consideration in seeds or Ranking? I got my only MBD and cards like Gaia, Dark Magician and Skull Knight by hitting exactly 8000 life points on a perfect duel, for example: 2 hits by THTD and 1 by Thousand Dragon.

    • @GFC_FM
      @GFC_FM  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

No, an exact kill doesn't alter the card you get, the rank, the seed, or anything else. The game doesn't even notice it.
The only thing somewhat similar the game DOES take into consideration is how many attacks you did that did less than 1,000 LP damage, and how many attacks you did that did more than 1,000 LP damage.
For example, if you attack directly with Shadow Specter, the game counts that as a "direct low" (since you did 500 damage, and 500 is less than 1000). However, if you do a direct attack with an MBD, the game counts that as a "direct high" (since you did 3500 damage, and 3500 is more than 1000).
That's why these two things are variables in the RNG manipulation python script used in this video. If you end a duel with, for example, 1 direct low and 2 direct highs, you'll win "Card A", but if you end that exact same duel with 1 direct low and 3 direct highs, you'll win a different card, or "Card B."
Doing more or less of ANY variable shown in this video (fusions, direct low/highs, turns, etc) doesn't necessarily give you better or worse drops. It just changes the drop to something different, but it doesn't make it better or worse. Just a different random drop.
There's no such thing as, for example, "If you do 5 fusions you have a better chance at winning MBD!" or something like that. There's absolutely nothing you can do to have a better chance to win any card in the game. You either have a totally random chance to win the card (MBD on Meadow Mage has a chance of 20/2048 for example), or you have a 100% chance to win the card, if you use RNG manipulation. But there's absolutely no way to increase your odds to anywhere in between. There's no best practices to use during a duel to get better drops (such as what you said, winning with exact damage, which doesn't make the drops better or worse at all).
      Hope that helps!

    • @GFC_FM
      @GFC_FM  4 ปีที่แล้ว

"I got my only MBD and cards like Gaia, Dark Magician and Skull Knight by hitting exactly 8000 life points on a perfect duel"
      Yeah, that's just coincidence, unfortunately.
A lot of people have also argued that you have a better chance of winning MBD on A rank instead of S rank. I've also had people argue the exact reverse (that you have a better chance to win MBD on S rank instead of A rank).
None of it is true, it's all just coincidence. If I boot up FM right now, and I do 10 A ranks and 10 S ranks, and I win three MBD only on the A ranks, then that might look like getting an A rank has a better chance than S rank. But it doesn't. It's just anecdotal evidence; a coincidence.
Trust me, I WISH something like that was true. It would make speedruns way easier! But, unfortunately, it isn't.

It seems the more times I attempt to find the initial seed, the less accurate this becomes. The first attempt, I found my frame in what appeared to be a perfect match, except I would later find out after many, many attempts of trying to hit one of the three frames to get MBD from Jono 2nd, I was landing on frames MUCH earlier than the ones I was trying to. I was 32 seconds away from MBD frames, but was somehow landing in ones about 3 seconds away from the initial seed when waiting 32 seconds. The second attempt, the seed was off by 1 card ((26 11 17 8 29 repeated on two rows instead of 26 11 17 8 30). After that, every single attempt yielded completely different cards. Nothing matched ever again. Are you using a bin/cue dump? I'm using Duckstation, an emulator that, inferring from the stated goal, has accuracy that lies somewhere between epsxe and beetlepsx.
On the topic of errors, Jono 2nd often randomly sets some kind of magic or trap card on the first turn. The script doesn't generate seeds with that. Among his pool for that, he has Invigoration, Forest, Wasteland, Mountain, Sogen, Umi, Yami, Tremendous Fire, Kunai with Chain, and Salamandra. I've never been able to see what he actually sets since he never seems to use them. I just got that data from the yugipedia page.

  • @salwaaa.S

I tried it on Jono 2nd and got different card drop. Here's what i did.
    (using DuckStation on Android 12).
    The script was:
    1. 4 turns
    2. No dumps, no fusion, no quicks, no gs, no direct low
    3. Enemy dest 1, 1, 1
    4. Directs 1, 2, 1
I was aiming for MBD and got frame at 680, but I won Fiend's Hand instead. I tested again with random frame and yield different card with the program. Maybe it doesn't work on android or duckstation? Or was it something i did wrong?
EDIT: found the mistake after reading RealPrincyy's comment. I thought enemy_dest was the number of monster I destroyed.

No, you can't get all 722 cards without cheating. There are still plenty of cards that don't drop anywhere. Those cards you were supposed to get with the Pocketstation, which is a discontinued Japanese PS1 add on. This method just allows you to win any obtainable card.
