JJF capabilities are beyond any kind of questioning, but this heat was Fanning's. Taking in consideration all the consistence showed through Fanning's waves compared on how unhappy JJF was in his performance as a whole, it seems a total lack of parameters the way those referees just give away their scores. The guy shows up with an air maneuver on a wave not that big after a ton of incomplete waves and take the heat? WSL jokes around.
Rafael Rodrigues Mick is an excellent surfer, but the only thing that matters is your top two waves. Mick seems to surf a little more 'safe' to try and get scores on the board. JJF in my opinion is a bit more radical and the scores showed

Yes it was a small wave but undeniable the score at the end, sweet air3 with a couple fin chucks nice win john.
