There is nothing wrong with Sano honestly, he is a really likable character and considering the time this drama was aired he was pretty much less toxic/violent than other male leads at that time BUT Nakatsu is just better! He is SO FUCKING LIKABLE!! he is really charismatic and he was willing to date Mizuki even tho he thought she was a boy (let's be honest, he bi/pan) I wouldn't say I loved Nakatsu since the beginning since he was kinda hostile towards Mizuki but once he became a nice guy I fell in Love with him 💜💜💜
To be fair if I was mizuki I would choose nakatsu because he is nice , funny and fun to be around. Sano is just a boring person. The only advantage he has over nakatsu is he saved mizuki
