    South Africa has made such great progress since those terrible days of the 1970's.
    Since 1994 it has transformed itself, for *all* of its citizens, into the rape & murder capital of the world.
    And that is a rare achievement for any nation.

      Certainly. Especially when we DON'T take a deeper and critical look at the nature of the damage done before the "great progress" - these were not just 'terrible days' - these were days of shaping the future which is characterised today by "rape & murder..." and POVERTY AND SUFFERING (we should add).

    I must say since Connie Mulders days, post 94 things have in South Africa are really looking good, after 30 years of "Independence" we have the highest employment rate, beautiful infrastructure. everybody has housing and water born sanitization. Education is at its highest, our military is the most powerful in Africa. Access to health...brilliant.

    Dr. Connie Mulder's wish to see the country dissolved and divided into it's own nations was the white's best case scenario for maintaining power and because it didn't happen, their place in South Africa dwindled significantly and has become a true reflection of a minority group

Whites had no business in deciding how and where we were supposed to live. Buthelezi was their bass boy. Don't you hear insults in this video.

    A fascinating video. Mulder and Kruger were soon history of course, Mulder having a scandal named after him and sinking PM Vorster with him. The chief went on to bigger and better and more lucrative things.
    I really found it interesting that they discuss the tricameral parliament near the end. I'd always been under the impression that was a Botha reform so it was very interesting to hear it was actually a Vorster iniative. I got the feeling that PW played his cards right and used Muldergate to seize control of the NP, a sort of bloodless coup, and it all went down pretty contemporaneously with this newspiece.
    Of course Botha was then to sideline his own parties right wing and end up seeing them uselessly occupying opposition benches as the Conservative Party. When his health eventually failed there was nobody to turn the reins over to other than wets like Pik, De Klerk and Chris Heunis, and they ended up giving the country away.
    I always felt that if SA could have accelerated the black standard of living dramatically then apartheid was entirely sustainable. Like China with its ruling class, who cares about voting if you have some of the highest living standards in the world? Sadly, it didn't pan out that way and now the entire of SA looks worse than Soweto in 1978. A sad paragraph of history.

      An apartheid apologist if ever I’ve known. It you sir. Soweto has tarred road now, they were not back then. Soweto has electricity now, which is something that was only there in certain areas right up until 1994. You are speaking from a white persons point of view, which is in fact irrelevant today. You miss your hegemony, we are breaking the back of whiteness and you hate it!

    • @Mntungwa77
      @Mntungwa77 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      BS! It was never his country to give away to start with! The SA some of us grew up in was always like this if not worse! First time I saw a house with electricity was in 1994! I was a science student without a laboratory thanks to Bantu Education! I thank God that in spite of the evil monsters who unleashed apartheid on us, God was never going to allow evil to persist! What is wrong now is not democracy but the ANC, the two are not the same thing…and for all their shenanigans, they can never be worse than apartheid! People who enjoyed apartheid think they can speak for us blacks on how good apartheid was for us! Let us tell you, we loved it, not you! The only thing that make SOME white say things are bad under democracy is because they’re beneficiaries of apartheid and for the first time they experience the frustrations we had under apartheid! Listen to this corrupt apartheid monster leader, he keeps saying. ‘I give them, I won’t, I will give them this I I I I’, no we! What BS to think you personally alone have so much evil powers!! Like the devil himself!!

      The standard of Living would have dramatically been accelerated in the townships, but that was not what the anc communist terrorists wanted...that's why they made things totally ungovenernable in the townships..Backed by international communists and the western media...look at the townships now under democratic governance..the proof is in the pudding..I think.eventually if things were allowed to develop as planned, policy woulda changed naturally
