This takes me back to 1987 when I walked into a clothing store in this huge shopping mall and this was playing inside. I still recall the mannequins (the ones who looked like real people back in the day) propped against the walls in different poses. Oh I miss the 80s so much, it was such a fun decade 😸😺
A hollow haunting rhythmic beat paired with the angst in the female’s voice begging her ex-lover to spend the night. Her halting explanation of her desires strikes a very sad, desperate, melancholy vibe for me. When the male responds positively to her pleas, it is a relief to know that he will give her that night and that he remembers their physical chemistry and connection. This beat and their voices leave me sad because I remember those times in the 80s longing for my lover who was with someone else. I was heartbroken and crushed but when we did reunite a few times, it was magic even if it was just a few hours of physical pleasure and lust.
Boy, does this song bring back memories. I love this song so much. The melody is gorgeous, if a bid sad-sounding, which is not a criticism at all. I was about 11 or 12 years old and my mom took my brother and I to 88th street park in Queens and there were cars double parked with teen age guys hanging out uprocking in the street with this song pumping from the car. I watched in awe, loved everything about the beat, song and dance that went with it!!!! I fell in love with freestyle on that day. Still listening in 2017. Awesome memory :)

Los Angeles in the late 1980's! I was very young but my older brother and my cousins blasted this music all the time! This track was always one of my favorites! Italo-Disco AKA Latin Freestyle in the US never gets old! I still blast this track driving down the 101 freeway in hollywood or down Pacific Coast highway in Orange County! Only for down ass and bad ass people!

Back in the day, I thought it was a follow up to Fascinated by Company B in the summer of 87, but then I heard Full Circle by Company B which was a contemporary of this one, and realized it was a different dance group entirely.

There weren’t too many vocalists with that much power back in those days. The ones that did had major label backing and became much more successful.
