Good morning, friends! ☕️ Thank you so much for joining me this morning! Are there any read aloud favorites in your house? 📚

Reading aloud is one of my favorite parts of every day, too. I'm a pushover for it. I try to limit bedtime to 2 or 3 books...but my son brought me a stack of 7 tonight and I couldn't resist reading them all...lol. I remember reading Beezus and Ramona as a kid, I have also read The Penderwicks and loved the sweet story!

We have several of the missionary stories but haven’t ready any out loud yet. I need to pull some out after Christmas

The wings of fire books are really good. My oldest loves them. She has the chapter books. They also have graphic novels too if you have kids that like to read that style.

What is a good age for kids to read ‘The Wings of Fire’?

@@jessicajones611 My oldest read the graphic novels at age 9. She is now 13 and is reading the chapter books. She reads through them quickly though.

Our read aloud time is perfect either lol I’ve started reading during snack time. It keeps the kids busy but still enough to get me through a chapter. The Read Aloud revival has great tips on this

I’m struggling with read aloud with my kids, especially since I have an 11 month old who can be quite the busy body when I’m reading to my other kids. We’ll find our groove soon.
Also, a cute little story…Frindle is how my oldest met one of his best friends. On their second meet up my son said, “hey guys, I brought my frindle!” His now best friend jumped up with excitement and said, “me too!” And they’ve been buddies since.

Excited to have a new video to watch from you! You are always so encouraging! Thank you! We love the Penderwicks and all the Ramona series. We have been listening to the Penderwicks on Gardham Street on audiobook and its just as heartwarming as the first book.

I have an 18 mos old too! I’ve been feeling defeated by Morning Time, but I appreciate your encouragement to press on! ❤ Mine likes to try to be louder than I’m reading. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve tried starting a couple different books (Charlottes Web, The Secret Zoo) and my kids are never interested. They seem to strongly prefer short picture books. Is there a certain age they may become more interested? I have a 4 yo, 5 yo & 7 yo.

How old are you kiddos? I have a 7yr son and I’m trying to find some good books for him.
