Some industries require moving the tool box around (think aircraft hangar). This test can indicate how stable it is to move around especially since drawers can slide out when moving.
@@99fxr68 this is a debate at every shop I’ve ever been at. It’ll never end. I’ve been doing collision work for almost 20 years and have an old snap on box. It’s nice but it’s a box with drawers. So are the icon ones. Costs a lot less so I can put that money towards my growing family instead of the rape wagon. It’s all about where you want to put your money. At the end of the day this is America so do whatever the f$ck you wanna do. You can’t say that the icon boxes aren’t a hell of a deal for the money
I was a hero one day at a shop I worked at. One of the guys kept opening drawers looking for a wrench then walked away leaving them open. I saw it slowly beginning to tip over and jumped up to close drawers just as the boss walked in and the culprit not realizing me and the boss just saw the bosses tools about to fall tried to give me crap for closing the drawers he left open because he wanted to put tools back when he finished.
No biggie but i did check out those icon tool cabinet at Harbour freight and they do have very nice build quality, challenge or not its a nice bang for the buck 👍 and the upper compartment was peftect space for some leds and speaker or 2
No toolbox is built to do this. If all drawers are fully loaded and you open every drawer it will absolutely tip over unless you have it bolted to the floor.
Nice! I have the icon box like yours just black and have left side locker and the cabinet on right. I also have a Snap-on bottom box. The Snap-on i have is 30in depth. Is my Snap-on built better ?? Yes! Is it worth more than i spent for my icon box?? Hell no!!
Usually just open the drawer i need sumn out of why would i care if they all open and dont tip? Thats not the purpose of a box nor in any way shape or form represents quality.
Try to convince me that the Snap On is 12,000.00 better. I have had a SnapOn box for 20 years and have never found a need to open every drawer at once. 😂. Take it from a SanpOn box owner. Buy a Icon.
Oh well dumb challenge. I love the snap on boxes but get rid of mine and an insane payment bought an icon that was twice the size for less than half the price and no payment. Icon toolbox for the win. And it feels the same as my snap on did
Stupid test because obviously you'll never need all of them open. But most importantly it depends how many tools u got. The drawers are gonna be heavier
Boggles my mind why people comment when they could just keep scrolling, did somebody call what you did today stupid and you felt the need pass it on? SMH
Completely pointless and arbitrary. Even a Snap On box would tip if loaded a certain way. You only need one drawer open at a time, and you lock them before moving.
And you need to open all the drawers at once for what reason?
Weight in the drawers vs center of gravity
Whats the challenge?

I have a snapon box that will tip with all drawers open.
I chose not to buy a Scrapon tool box
Just saw a short where the apprentice gets “apprentice of the week” award for opening them all and it falling on him lol

Keep you drawers closed!!! You’ll attract flies!!!😂
My coworker has this icon box and he even admitted how cheap the quality feels compared to my epiq. Snap on just feels so sturdy n meaty n satisfying
Just cuz snap on can isn’t a selling point for me I will never find myself in a situation where I need all my drawer open

For sure. Nobody will convince me a SnapOn is 12,000.00 better.
i have a snapon box!! with that being said. i dont think it tipping over was worth me paying 5x the cost of what that box was
Still an awesome toolbox. I love that thing
I almost sprung for an expensive box once, I bought engine parts instead. I can say the parts were a better way to waste money.
Just put a tractor counter-weight on the back side of the box!
I tried this with a snap on 56 krl and it didn't work out to well. So are we comparing a 30 deep snap on to a 25 deep icon?
from someone with only snap on i don’t get test like this like when am i gonna have all my drawers open it’s just to shit on cheaper brands like icon
Was the SnapOn chest empty?

You only need one drawer open at a time anyway

Between Icon and Snap-On, physics wins.
That’s not even a challenge that’s people who don’t understand physics
If you need all them open in the 1st place then you need to put the wench down an back away for the box
And why would you need 25 drawers open again?
Just put a weight on the rear bottom...
Stupidest Snap-off challenge ever. Who would ever need to do that?? Remind me how much you saved by going Icon?
I bet if you didnt own so many tools all the drawers could open.

Dumbest thing… zero need to have all drawers open, less need to stand in your drawers
