Hmmm! Not sure about the tube being curled so much and seemingly under the cushion nor the placement of the tube on the arm itself. I'm looking for clear instructions including those of tube placement in relation to the artery. It's all so confusing but important to get it right for accurate readings. 😩. I did learn some things from this video though so thank you for that.

So why, when the doctor’s office takes me blood pressure, do they sit me on a table (no back support), feet dangling, and my arm resting in my lap (not elevated)??????

I get extreme differences between morning & late afternoon / evening like say 6:00 am & 5:30 pm. For instance I take a couple reading each time & I might get a 126.5 in the am, & a 147.5 in the pm. Or another example is 124.5 am & 156.5 pm which in the scheme of things are the somewhat higher ones (not always that high), but it makes it confusing. I'm 69 years old so the mornings seem ok, but the evenings not so much. Do I go with the mornings or evenings or take one more average between them daily?

BP is always lowest first thing, or at least mine is. You take an average. Usually advisable to take a reading first thing in the morning and one at night when you're relaxed.

dang, I did mine at rite aid, first was 190 over something, second, 172 over something, third 140 over something. I figure if I do it enough I'll be healthy.

Go to your doctor and get some meds. Lose weight and start walking

Cut down on mouth wash and increase nitric oxide levels by eating correct vegetables. Exercise helps too.

140/90 used to be considered normal. Strange that.
