Lohengrin est mon opéra préféré de Wagner, ex-aequo avec Walkyries. Je l'ai vu dernièrement à Bayreuth dans une mise en scène comment dire, discutable, et c'était Annette Dash qui chantait Elsa. Merci Mia tu nous régale toujours autant.

I watched the first 36 seconds of this video and could not bear to continue. I had hoped to learn something about one of my favourite operas, but felt affronted by the mannerisms of the presenter.

Apart from the fact that Belgium did not exist until 1830, (but the city of Antwerp-Belgium, where the action takes place, did exist in 11th century) … Great summary

He wasn't the King of Belgium back then. That geographical area was "German" back then. Those countries exist because of political issues.

I ve started with second act (Milan Barenboim) and was captivated. The villains were good and all! Beautiful acting and staging. These villains can deffo compete with the Macbeths!!!! ♥️🎶🙏

Je ne comprends pas le principe de le faire en anglais... il y a déjà 2000 chaînes Anglaises/Américaines qui explique cet opéra dans son ensemble, de toutes les façons possibles ( dessin animé, docu court ou long, ...). On ne peut pas poser le même constat pour les chaînes français sur TH-cam. Ce n'est pas que je suis pas déranger par l'anglais ( au niveau de la compréhension car c'est ma deuxième langue maternelle ) mais j'aurais aimé que tu gardes la langue française pour être plus proche de la personnalitée que tu avais jusqu'à maintenant et qui me plaisait beaucoup plus. On dirait une tout autre TH-camuse qui essaie de t'imiter.
Je suis désolé mais pour moi si tu restes sur l'anglais pour les prochaines vidéos je me désabonnerai de la chaîne car je ne me retrouverai plus dans le contenu que tu proposes.

Pour moi, peu importe que ce soit en anglais ou en français du moment qu'il y a des sous-titres et je sais qu'ils vont arriver plus proprement. Tout ce que j'attendais, c'était que tu fasses Lohengrin. Même si les thèmes musicaux sont répétés huit millions de fois, je ne m'en lasse pas et je suis ultra ravie que tu aies décidé de faire cette vidéo pendant le confinement
