    Awesome job! Brick and concrete work is certainly simplified when you do not have to prevent frost heave as in the more northern climates. Keep up the great work!

    Long skinny home and pool always in the shade. Even in summer when sun is high in the sky.
    Old school tile. I remember pools in the 70s used Talavera tile. I keep thinking of a plunge pool. Been thinking for about 10 years now.
    Odd the pool guy didn’t take on the patio job himself. Good for you though, money in the bank.

    Great job, I just rerouted downspouts using 3” sch 40 but your pipe looks a lot easier to deal with. What pipe are you using & how does it hold up with concrete poured over it?

    0:47 How you choose the concrete strength? Why is 3500 psi and not 1000 or 5000?

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Standard is 2500 psi minimal. I beefed it up and went with 3500 around the pool

    ❓Have you ever seen a ~2 foot pool channel drain as a separate, flowing, foot wash river recessed ~10 feet from the pool? It could be covered with tile if the deck was being used as deck entertainment functions. Or is this illegal in the USA?

  • @MikeHarris1984
    @MikeHarris1984 ปีที่แล้ว

    In Phoenix you can't put your overflow into the street storm drains. Any overflow and emptying pool must go on your city sewer line. Pool water is baaaad for storm drain system and must be treated before releasing into the water table.

    Why wouldn't you have a concrete footing with rebar underneath the brick border?
    It would be better and likelihood of shifting or settling of border would basically be eliminated.
    Everyone does it different, but we would pour a base of concrete (reinforced with rebar) throughout the entire area so the pavers are on concrete and then the finished concrete pour above the base concrete...maybe it comes down to cost or the clients budget.
    Nevertheless, nice job.
