Hey! Love this honest review! I wanted one with monogram eclipse from the men collection.
I still think it’s a very beautiful bag but the thing that it tarnish fast, the feet gets scratched on the metal and it’s visible when it does. Those things really bothers me, when you pay a lot money for a almost all canvas bag as well.
Is the chain thingy in the shoulder strap plastic as well?
Would you recommend that I make the purchase?

Thanks for the honest review. I was on the fence about purchasing this bag when it was first released as I heard that the corners where prone to scratches/tarnishing. I wonder if LV would repair the tarnished hardware as it is an expensive investment? Although I have other LV cross body bags that have worn very well, I'm considering the new Fall release of the soft trunk... hopefully the quality will be better.
Maybe I should ask my SA

I watched your review before I bought my Prism bag and knew of all the problems but I still wanted it. Today I was walking down town and the fucking strap came off and my bag fell!!!!! I scuffed the metal hardware I'm sooooooo MAD terrible design and cheap buckles. Fuck

The more classic an item is, the more durable it is.
Because it has passed tests of time & usage....
Apart from the black trim which is leather. The rest is not leather. It’s coated canvas.
i like this bag so much dont mind buying replica dont care much for brand and the hype i just like shape and box form , and the real one sucks so why not
same problem with my soft truck too..even my soft truck is new season,the quality still the same..the paint is easy fade out

The edges need to stay crisp on a boxy bag -- the edges fold in, crease and look bad. Good in concept but terrible in execution. This is a hard pass.
You can use it a lot but you stuff it too full and are too rough with it. Not ever bag made is a meant to be an everyday bag, and even if it is there’s certain things you need to be careful with such as the structure for these ones
it s a runyway bag so it isnt made to a daily life
Beautiful bag. Horribly engineered. They have a year to figure this stuff out. It’s simply not acceptable. Virgil has much to learn - especially since he’s now fronting a brand that has built it’s reputation around pieces you own for a lifetime. Just my opinion.
