It's like... she took a long time to prepare and release Witness. She invested a lot in the concept and the whole era ended up being hugely criticised. I think she was not ready for it... there was a time that anything she released would be relevant even if it was not a mega hit, and Witness lost all its hype quickly after the release. Adding that to other personal issues... it was not a great time. Now she's releasing songs trying not to expect much from the public and it's a good thing. Personally, I miss more her sound from One of the Boys than TD or Prism... but all those eras came at the right time and trying to go back to them would be kind of pointless, I think...

The best work I have ever accomplished was at a point in my life where I was at my lowest , and Katy has always appeared to perform in much the same way - I'm guessing that most people share that experience . It's nice that we are all not that different despite our differences.
