In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt I have another kitchen product review for you. I am going to give you a review of my favorite basting brush. Silicon basting brushes are awesome! Much better in my opinion then the classic basting brush. Pick one of these silicone basting brushes up you won't be sorry!

Hello and welcome back to In the Kitchen with Matt, I am your host Matt Taylor. Today I have another product review for you, I am going to be talking about the silicone baster. I love silicone products, if you watch my show a lot, you will notice that I do use silicone products quite a bit, why would I choose to use this one, over like a classic one, that has like this, I don’t know what you call these things, I just call them hairs, but we will take a closer look here, and as you can see this baster that I have had for quite awhile, I have a twisty tie on there and the hairs are all falling apart, and actually sometimes they will fall off and get inside your food, and that is not very appetizing. So I switched to the silicone baster. The silicone baster is going to last quite a long time for your, it’s not going to fall apart it is not going to get all frizzy, it will always retain its shape, super easy to clean, I really recommend getting a silicone baster. You can get them at Walmart, Target, I will also put a link down below to Amazon where you can pick one up, this is an affiliate link, so it helps my show out a little bit, I will get a small percentage of the sale but it won’t cost you any extra, to go that route, so I will thank you in advance if you buy one from that link, so yeah, go out there and get one, you won’t be disappointed with a silicone baster, on a scale one to ten do you need it in your kitchen, I would say 8 to 10, somewhere in there, because it is super handy, I love mine, I am Matt Taylor this has been another episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, thank you for joining me, as always if you have any questions or comments, put them down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can, thumbs up down in the corner push it, don’t forget to subscribe to my channel and check out my other videos. Take care.

Thank you so much! haha yeah I think it is important to respond to comments. If someone takes the time to comment on my videos, then I should reply. :) I also have the luxury of working from home mostly, so it is pretty easy to reply to comments regularly. :) Yes that would be so fun to have a TV show! haha

Matt, I would say anyone doing almost any cooking at all needs at least 1 of there. I have 3 and use them all the time. From spreading oil on a pizza pan and then basting the thick crust edges with herb butter, grilling, to buttering the tops of bisques. This is a must have in my opinion. Thanks for the review. :)

interesting, how old is it? I think you will run into that problem with any brush, although my silicone brush is way easy to clean.

I find it difficult to remove olive oil off my bristle brushes. Seems like they remain tacky even after cleaning.
Will the silicone brush be easier to clean?

Hi Ned! Yes they are very easy to clean. I just clean mine with hot soapy water and they are good to go. Most of them are dishwasher safe as well, but tend to just hand wash mine.
