I agree with Steve. People who were his age in 1978 experienced Moi when Moi was young, in his mid 50s. Moi had a lot of vision in this Country regarding industrialization, and combating environmental degradation. But Kenyans just did not get it. I hear his own friends shot down the Nyayo Pioneer Car and trivialized the Panda Miti Initiative. If Kenyans had embarrassed these initiatives, then we would be very far.
This guy and wanjigi are very intelligent. You can hate them or love them but Kikuyus have the most intelligent people in Kenya. What I don't agree with him though is the assumption that Genzs can't win against the govt. I can say without a shadow of doubt that if it wasn't for Railas greed, Ruto could now be in Sugoi.

Agree that civic education needs to be delivered - BUT not in Nairobi or Mombasa or major urban centres. The majority of GenZ (plus other Kenyans) live in rural areas/small towns. That should be tha target. And it needs a lot of imagination and effort - including having shows like this in Kiswahili or any of the local languages. Because debating in English in Nairobi is preaching to the converted...but the peple who need conversion are out there in the country side...and mostly communicate in local languages or Kiswahil. Template already there - GenZ were able to translate finance bill to Kiswahili, Somali Kikuyu, Luo etc. So its not impossible but will require a bit of work.
The apparatus of social welfare schemes need to grow. Note the half hearted schemes of 90% free university education let loose recently in addition to raft of measures re-introduced doesn't inspire confidence.
