Dan and Erik make an outstanding vocal duo. Victor accompanying just bumps it to the next level. They definitely improved this song!
All three of them absolutely blow this out of the water! Stunning!
DanVasc had almost gave up on making his TH-cam videos and after a long period of pauze Eric got him back with this duet. So Dan broke his silence after this cover!
I think Erik is a rock God. But EVERYTHING is better with Dan ❤

Hey brother! I enjoyed the side by side comparison videos! Dan and Erik ROCKED this!!!! Dan’s grit and growl are fire!!! His vocal resonance is rich and full, which makes the song “pop” out so much more! I agree that the instrumentals are edgier and more powerful! I think what I like about Dan’s ability to take an 80’s song is that he can grab a rock or 80’s hair band sound and bring a more masculine touch. I enjoy the 80’s hair band sounds with their harmonies and musicality, but they have a lighter feel, and Dan brings a deeper sound, yet uses his vocal register to shine on the high points of the songs. I agree, the original is a typical/generic 80s hair metal song and the cover by these guys is much better. I also heard the Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith influences that you mentioned.

I agree that this song was much better than the original. Personally I think Dan gives new life to anything he performs. Erik and Dan did do another duet, "Faithfully" I think it was. I did not care for the colab on that one, but to each his/her own.

They didn't do faithfully together. Karla Bessy joined the videos of each separately as though they were together.

I know they did that song separately and not as a duet. Placing the videos side by side emphasized how different their individual vocal skills are. Dan's voice is richer and warmer. Erik's has a lot of treble and is sharp to me.
Dan & Erik removed the oppressive mood, straight out of the gate.
Dan & Erik really should perform together more often. They rule the world.
The performance and vocals were always heavier when Erik and H.E.A.T sang live than on the track.
Dan Vasc just helped Erik Gronwal to make this song epic instead of ok.
