I recently bought the actual Proteus /2 Orchestral module around February 2022 the same time I bought a Roland U-220 and an Alesis SR-16. I don't think these sounds are as outdated as many people make out, the bow friction on the Proteus/2's strings still adds a bit more nuance to the sound and the percussion sounds are still usable in modern production. With the ESI sampler you are still playing the sound through an actual sound module. Maybe one day i might add a sampler to my stack of sound modules. I prefer hardware samplers to software based samplers for this sort of thing.
AAAAAHAHHHHHHH MAKE IT STOP! TH-cam and Ebay keep showing me so many shiny new old things i want to own... my wallet cant take it anymore!!! lol thanks for this video... daddy needs a new emu now..
I love Proteus modules and samples. Protozoa CD is great. If you have "E-MU Classics" CD(E-mu Vol.7) , it has "Proteus/2 +" :32MB version of Proteus/2, recommend😀
Yes, there is a sample disk called protozoa that has all of the emu modules P1,2,3 orbit,Dance etc.. The sampler has a more comprehensive version of a synth engine and can do all of the same things as the module. The racks had the particular sample sets in rom usually about 8-16 mbs

The emu library’s are killer, U220 has all of those classic Roland sounds they are still using
How unfortunate is the misconception that realism == sound quality
@@jameshancox1The EMU PROTEUS 2 needs a special keyboard?

Absolutely, you can’t beat a bit of world
@@jameshancox1 thanks!
Does that Emu proteus 2 system work on new pianos like Roland fa08
@@shumakazi3908 if you have the module it needs to be connected via midi
@@jameshancox1 I have the in and out put midi on my Roland fa08
run away dance
One can still create a score with this thing if they use their imagination and add some midi controlled Dynamics.
Definitely 💯 the emu samples are excellent, still to this day
Hello, is it a P2 sample pack for ESi samplers? Because that shows in background, not the P2 module! Thanks!

Does the Temple Block soundpatch use for Wwtbam lifeline Phone A Friend
Yes it do.
In the other gameshow was in friends like these we heard in the gameshow hosted by ian wright and ant and dec too.
Added reverb or built-in? Sounds beautiful.
The reverb is the lexicon room built into my soundcraft fx12 desk
@@jameshancox1 Beautiful. Thanks.
