Hi Paul. Is it best practice to use the built-in wordpress user profiles or make a Custom Content Type with Crocoblock for profiles? I'm builting a website for users to rent equipment for a period of time with JetBooking, and they have to be able to edit and see their profile and see what they have rented. Thanks.

Great tutorial ! thank you, it helps A LOT !!! please keep up with the good work !!! I love Crocoblock / Paul C. cooperation. One small comment, when you create a FORM, the default hidden field for POST_ID is automatically created and set to Mandatory. So when submitting the form when creating a new post it won't work until you uncheck the mandatory option for this field. (At least this happens to me) Small detail, I don't think it is mentionned in the tutorial but maybe worth to know. Thanks

In Part 2: Creating Edit Album Form with Pre-set (34:28), what about duplicate the "add album" form and do the little modifications in _post_id and submit/update button fields ?

@@Crocoblock I meant that using a plugin that duplicates posts (such as Yo**st Duplicate post) it is possible to duplicate the "add form" to create the "edit form" and thus avoid to recreate a new form from scratch, all the fields being the same (I'm dealing with 15/20 fields per CPT).
There will be only a few modifications left to do (among which the edit and submit buttons...)

There are plugins such as membership plugins that load their own "my account" page or even WooCommerce itself, a video on how to manage those pages in conjunction with JetEngine's Profile Builder would be great.

WooCommerce account and Profile Builder are different things and they can't work together
There is some way to make a select with the specific names of users and when choosing one of them, the Email field is filled with their respective email. I'm trying to do it but there are so many features that I can't find the answer. Millions of thanks for your support!

Is it possible to add comments to a user profile? I want some admins to be able to add a feedback comment to each users account. how can I accomplish this?
Something is wrong with my profile builder, when I added it it creates multiples of the same template over and over and the page becomes infinite... Idk what to do
Does any know if its possible to limit say the tags available in the form for check boxes. I want to only have the user be able to pick from about six certain tags that pertain to just that form.

In working on a listing site, can you have 2 different types of users with access to different parts of the website? For example, I want agents to be able to create accounts, post listings, etc. I also want customers to be able to create accounts and not have access to listings but instead be able to favorite listings and see those favorited listings on a user account page.
Hi! Right at the moment, there's no such opportunity. In the Profile Builder, you can add user roles and choose what content you would like to show, but there's no opportunity to hide listings and show only favorite listings prnt.sc/1xl4i2e

Hello! Unfortunately, there's no such an option with JetEngine. Notifications can be sent only upon Form submission from the front-end.
Is it possible to create multiple types of profiles? I.e. buyers with account page to compile and buy listed products, vendors with account page to add products?
You can use thir-party plugins to give users different roles (speckyboy.com/creating-a-custom-user-role-in-wordpress/), and with the Profile Builder you can set the restrictions in accordance with the roles.
First of all thank you paul and crocoblock team for this amazing tutorial. I am having one issue when user creating new album (post) as mentioned by paul at 24:40 I have kept status to published but still it keep saving as draft and admin have to publish it manually.

Hello Greg! Could you please clarify what do you mean by connecting fields to Jet Engine's search? As for importing any data from a xmls spreadsheet, sorry, but it can't be done with JetEngine.

I was tryng to create an "edit user" function with jet engine and now I can't access anyore to WP dashboard as administrator. i think jet engine changed the role of my account because I made a mistake. Incredible functionality. I'm testing it, very good. I have a problem. I want from the user area and being Administrator, through a Jet Form I want to Create a New Wordpress User, create a custom post type and send an email. The part of creating the Wordpress user does not work although I am logged in with an administrator role. Can you help me. If I process the form outside the profile builder protected area, everything works. When I log in, it doesn't and it tells me "already-login" at the URL. How do I solve it?. Thanks.

So I install Crocoblock wizard plugin (and tried just jetengine plugin) and account page doesn't show anything ... no menu, no listings, when manually create menu links don't work. Tried everything, reinstalling the plugin, reinstalling Wordpress ... nothing. Not sure why but it's not working.

Very useful tutorial - thank you, Paul. I have managed to set up a post type, form and page. When I enter data I get an error message saying "One or more fields have an error. Please check and try again". There is no indication of what field is in error or what the error is. Also all the data in the form disappears. Is that how it's meant to work? The data needs to be retained and feedback supplied on what the error is. If the data is cleared and nobody knows what the error is, people will give up and leave your site, especially on longer forms. I guess I am making a mistake somewhere and missing part of the process.
Hi, Andy!😉 The error message may occur when a form is set up incorrectly on the backend rather than the fields may be filled in a wrong way.

Hi man. There is a way to know which is the error field. This is inspecting the URL, notice something like this:
?status=validation_failed&fields=Date%20of%20Birth&values%5Bpost_id%5D=116&values%5Bname
Here it says that the fault is in the "Date of Birth" field. That's the key "? status=validation_failed&fields=" that bit tells you which fields.

I am curious why CrocoBlock would not have included a "New User Form" with the "Presets". Also, it would be good if you could set up Custom Taxonomies and associate them to User Profiles. For example, someone may want to allow their users to define categories for themselves. This way the user profiles could be added to a listing grid with filterable results.

I did the same thing to update users but only my admin account can update it, any chance we can have a custom role that can edit users, atm im getting You are not permitted to submit this form! and the custom role has the permisions 'edit_users' => true, 'add_users' => true, 'create_users' => true, 'delete_users' => true,
Any advice the custom role its been added by php add_role() function to avoid installing a pluging just for that.
The form should have who can submite the form with role capacity

The custom solution is needed if you need to change this.
BTW. there is a bug with profile Builder. If you click to import profile couple of times or forgot that you already done that it will ad additional User settings to default user profile page of WP. deleting forms and turning Profile builder on and off will not remove additional User settings sections from default user profile of WP. And there is no obvious way to remove them.

During the last 12 months you have been updating most of the plugins, which is fantastic, considering the massive number of plugins available and also the extremely stressful conditions in which you are operating under.
This has not gone unnoticed! And I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you!
At this stage, the 'courses' presented here, no longer reflect the latest capabilities and functionality due to these updates.
When someone tries to follow the 'course' to build a certain functionality with the plugins, there are gaps.
It's like trying to follow a recipe without knowing the exact measurement of the ingredients.
The same issue occurs pretty much with the existing online documentation. Meaning that the documentation is old compared to the latest plugin versions and have not been kept up to date.
So it's not a matter of describing in detail what I would like to achieve.
At some point in the future and whenever this is possible, I would like to see older non-relevant videos removed or updated with information which will reflect the latest plugins.

When we set a post status to pending. And we just delete a users' post and not approve it because it may be a spam or something else. In that case, how user will get notified that your post was declined by the site admin. Please answer @crocoblock

Hello! I believe this is what you need:
1. prnt.sc/v9nncr - create a listing of users with Heading widget inside, pull the nickname if the queried user into Title.
2. Set the Link as nickname as well - prnt.sc/v9nnw6 and set Before setting to be the link to a Single user page prnt.sc/v9no8i - (for example croco/users/) This link is a link to this page: prnt.sc/v9noqd
Now, if the user nickname is "admin" the link in the heading will be в croco/users/admin/ ,
so, as the Profile Builder is set to link users by their nicknames, such link will be a link to admin's public profile page.

I think is better before any Toturials, first say what is that for and show example, then someone like me have an idea where to use that.

I thought the entire purpose was to BUILD a PROFILE, that new users can LOGIN to. But this entire video didn't show any of that. This created pages and a dashboard, but it has nothing to do with anyone logging into it. What am I missing here? Why aren't there more videos connecting the login aspect to the pages you're creating for users to login to/register for?

When I hear him saying "I'm not going to go into too much detail" and then "style" a box-shadow instead, I just lose it. Why do you do the tutorial then? I'm interested in the technical part, the functionality, not the bad design. I can style stuff myself. He's just scratching the surface in a 51 min tutorial without going deeper, explaining everything, or even give examples/use cases. He always seems to do this stuff just so he's done with it, without adding real value.
It's just a basic styling to show the content in more or less finished form :) You can always skip the part that you don't need ;)

I was saying that he always scratches the surface, he doesn't go deeper into explaining stuff, it's like he doesn't know how this stuff works either and just skips it. Do you want me to make a list with questions that need answers but he just skips instead?

You're absolutely right Alex.. claiming he will 'customize' the profile, then completely ignoring it.. I noticed the same in all his 'tutorials' .. wasting as much time as he can styling and explaining the obvious, what each button means, etc.. never gets into real world situations, where and why we should use each plugin, etc.. what happens for example if you have more than one CPT, can you assign different profiles to different users, or can you have more than one Account page, etc etc.. Croco's tutorials are no better either.. At least they should be honest and call it for what it is : Introduction/Basics .
Please sir I have a Real EState website, and I want to create a tenant profile portal, where all my tenant can have their own portal and all three information also I want the tenant's page to carry info such as apartment occupied, address of property occupied, rent due, rent paid, outstanding if any, signed contract, a space where they can receive and also send documents such as proof of payment, tenancy agreement, receipts, e.t.c.
