after looking into it, I realized that i would have to send it into an authorized repair center and pay for the repair. So I opted for a refund on ebay and then found a deal on the same exact amp on Amazon. I paid more for a brand new unit, but it was well worth it!!!!! Amazing amplifier!
To be completely honest, I never had an opportunity to find out. I found an authorized repair center near me and called, I'm not sure what the repair cost was going to be, but I considered just doing it. but then, paypal contacted me and let me know that the seller was fine with a refund and just calling it DOA. I feel bad about being pissed now, but there's two important things to consider. These amps are apparently notoriously fragile. Just one little bump and oops. Es ist gebrochen. Not exactly ideal for a traveling rack mount case by any means in my honest opinion. Additionally, ANYTHING packed that poorly would experience some kind of shipping damage. After the fact, I purchased two crown xti 1002 amplifiers new, and the factory packaging was very substantial and after all is said and done, I have them both set up and they have been flawless so far. I'm pleased with the xti 1002.
AJ Ceravolo I’ve had my crown xti4000 for 11 years never had a single issue until a few days ago. It’s traveled thousands of miles in a case. I guess I’ll update you after I call crown on Monday and see what they say.
@@christopherAwaite hello Ive been following the crown issue and i am having the same problem. Is it possible u found a solution to it or its just a lost case
I have a Crown xti 2000 and mine does the same thing.
Sir, after the tear down it was determined that this amp was not pre-blessed prior to shipment. You opted out of the extra fee...
