I wonder if you sized up the rear pulley in relation to the wheel size if you could get the big wheel benefits without the drawbacks. Making the wheel diameter bigger is effectively gearing it up. If you were to increase the pulley size to get the Motor RPM to Wheel RPM ratio back to normal you should be able to have the epic torque and braking efficiency of the small wheels as well as the better rolling characteristics of the large ones.
Then you dont get the speed. How much do you weigh? This guy looks way heavier than me so id make the conversion. If youre heavy then no because you need the torque. Im oribably 50 pounds lighter than this guy.
@@zachmoir im gonna try and make these. The only problem is that it will bring the pulley size from the stock size of 56 teeth to a massive size of 84 teeth. Most likely gonna need to buy bigger, non tradtional size belts.
Typically ride sidewalks where I live, the cracks would hurt the ankles, have broken or sprained them 7 times total...so went to the OneWheel, but these larger tires would be better, would they fit on a V1
They do. They are significantly larger than stock and it looks like a beast on the Boosted Board. I installed mine this week and the ride is much smoother for sure.
You probably lose SO much range if you keep the standard range battery though. With the extended range battery, you range becomes basically what a stock standard range board has. Definitely try going off-roading with these wheels some time. It's a TON of fun to do ride dirt/gravel trails on a Boosted board of all things.
i like having the standard range battery on there for super quick trips! ive got boas on my stealth and another v2 (XR batteries on both) for the longer trips ill prob end up swapping eventually
@@samsheffer true, could be good when you gotta go to and from somewhere super quick. I wonder how much faster you can go if you install these on the stealth. You'll likely break 30 mph.
Looking to buy a new eboard but hesitant to buy Boosted since limited support & might be difficult to find parts going forward. What board would you say is most similar to a Boosted board.
Bring this beauty to European cities, like Prague for example. It's all cubble stone. I bet those wheels might help with not loosing all teeth fillings, but once you fall with that speed...forget being left with any teeth.
Plastic that acts as the bearing? Do they not have the larger sized bearings like the regular pulleys do? That board sits way to high for my liking. Nice video Sam 'Speed Junky' Sheffer :)
The pulley does not act as a bearing. He just mistated in the video. The inner bearing needs to be removed and the pulley fits inside the wheel and acts as a spacer. The pulley and wheel turns together and you only need two bearings. One small on outside of wheel and one within the pulley. Both wheels and pulley kit comes with ABEC 7s bearings pre-installed. Once installed, you will end up with 2 extra bearing spacers and 2 extra bearings.
Nice wheels! It's too bad Boosted got rid of the loaded decks.Big mistake.I don't think too many people like that composite deck on the new boards.Nothing beats the bamboo😔.I know two people who got the stealth and they both returned it.They still prefer the v2 over anything.
Oh man this video is 2 years old sadly, just found it. Wanted to offer you to make a video with more of direct comparison: breaking distance test, acceleration test, battery range test.
Dude Sam I'm not gonna lie I'm a little worried about you man going through Manhattan with the speed, I guess your experienced but just be careful man, but put those on your stealth😂
Love the video Sam and glad you loved the Foamies!
I miss the Boosted vids we need MORE
Those belt covers would be a good justification for a 3D printer.
need something? why not print it?!
@@samsheffer hey speaking of urethane and 3D printing, that's what my company does, www.gallaghercorp.com

Make some modifications and upload the STL to thingiverse, I'll be the first to download it and print it :D

Haha get it “I wonder” that’s the brand of the wheels
How do boosted’s electronics correct the speedo reading for the larger diameter wheels? 29mph is most likely a false reading.
I have a mini x that runs 28mph on 90mm ollin popocas. I wonder if these foamies can do any better, what do you think?
Typically ride sidewalks where I live, the cracks would hurt the ankles, have broken or sprained them 7 times total...so went to the OneWheel, but these larger tires would be better, would they fit on a V1
Will this set up work on a mini x?
Jay Yamamoto yes! With a riser kit
Can u recommend some riser for mini x bro? I wanna change this wheel because my wheel feels like so hard
김치남 KIMCHINAM check eboardstuff..com
well, I do think that maybe you can take an evolve gtx, I don't like this brand but they have more power and also a lot of wheels options
hey im not sure if your aware but if you dont want speed you can but a diffrent pulleyy for foamies that lets them have increased torque
Thank you Sam, this was interesting, Which are the red wheels you have on your stealth?
nice video sam, made me miss the old school vlogs, but loving the new videos just as much.
These wheels look sick
indeed, jason, indeed
They look slick

Cool vid! How's the turning radius?

Wait why didn't you slap those on the stealth?
those look so sweet. would you say they allow for an easier time over big cracks and grates?
hi sam hello from Cyprus. What about these wheels on a V1?
Do you prefer prefer the v2 or stealth ? Thanks
Do you recommend the Slick Revolution Rough or Foamie wheels for cobblestone streets & truncated sidewalks?
what shoes are those?
Is this filmed on the iPhone 11? Feel like cruising in nyc would look so cool with that wide angle lens
I'm only watching this video because of those NYC shots, thanks sam :)
What kind of nikes are those?
It's like a boosted board for Overlanding! Awesome.
Have you figured out the belt covers yet for these wheels? I'm considering going the foamies route instead of the boosted 105s.
Watched your first boosted wheel video and didnt pull the trigger. I have a v2 and I'm gonna grab these!
How many miles do you get on the fastest mode with these
29
top speed or distance? i have a standard range battery on there, so with the bigger wheels, prob about 4 miles or so
Sam Sheffer distance. I have a stealth and looking to get bigger wheels
Watch my video (linked with an end card) on the 100m boas I put on my stealth
Vanguard style decks or any board with moderate flex will experience torsional flex and speed wobbles at 25+ mph.
Could you compare exway x1 pro vs boosted stealth also nice video
Your going to need a Booster Box range extender so your range does not suck du to the higher draw on the battery from pushing those big wheels
About the battery swap. More weight usually carries more speed
New boosted video? You bet I hit that bell TwT
Those Supreme Shoes tho Fire
thx
Anyone know the name of the app he used to track his top speed? I tried looking for “my ride” but it’s all stuff like Uber
Found it, it’s called
“Ride - track your esk8 rides”
Can we put this monster wheels also to backfire g2t ?
Will u ever buy other company's board like evolve, metroboard, or even kaly?
I’m planning on modding my boosted board stealth with 120mm wheels. will the board itself collide with the wheels when turning in general?
Dope! Gotta get one eventually.
WHAT ARE THOES (Points at shoes) But seriously though which shoes are those?
Some type of Nike tiempo based off soccer boot. Ugly as sin in my opinion, but he pulls them off.
Those are supreme

Wowgo 3x. If you have more money get Miles Rampage or Miles Panther with 6" All terrain wheels so smooth.
how much range is lost? estimated
2:28 HAHA! great cut in
What do you season your boards with?
Hey Sam new subscriber here. I love your reviews. Is it possible for you to review the mavic mini??
Wheels look sick
how do you brake hard at 29mph without flying?
Hey, does anyone knows about LED wheels for boosted board?
Joseph from Uganda I need to buy one how much reply
Yeah you should do this on Stealth/Hypermode
How fast is the boosted board
Just FYI on my Stealth using the spacers I was able to to re-install my belt covers and they do NOT rub.
Peep that Williams Allegro 2 👀
Imagine if Michelin got into making Boosted wheels?!? Great video Sam!

great video, would be cool that you mentioned the normal top speed in the video! its in the description tho i just realised
erickh555 22mph
Why doesn't he use the stealth? He doesn't like it?
Those wheels are sick! We'd love to hear your feedback on our new SL-200 ShredLights for the Boosted Boards :)
I like the "KPH"! Thanks, cool video like usual! A German!
I love foamies! I never feel the road!
Bigger is always better!
Don't let anyone tell you different.
Where is your ruroc helmet ?
Without the belt covers one small rock gets between the belt and the gears, the wheel locks and you go flying. Good luck.
No belt covers on LaCroix. Never had an issue w/ either boards.
LJ Powell LaCroix motors are behind and above the wheels. Boosted motors are not. Therefore you’re a lot more likely to have rode debris get in them.
Sam try a 29th or a 23th gear that should give you an amazinh top speed

U should try how much torque u can get with like 25mm wheels
you don need sacrifice torque if you put in bigger puley wil not be too faster but for city rider.. awsome
How is here to get back the memories of Boosted Board😭

looks dope
Wonder who that guy was at the end.
Casey’s old camera gear room 😥 miss him in NYC

Tesla T shirt 👀. Sam will be the ambassador by 2020.

Better than a Boosted? Yes, but not a great board. Too many issues.

You need to do more eboard vids Mr Sheffer. I don't understand why you don't, but maybe there is a reason. Either way, Esk8 needs you 👍
