I think what makes Kristen so special and unique as an actress for me is that when I watch her, I feel she's irreplaceable. Like for most other actors, you can replace them with some other competent actor and it would not make much of a difference to the part. But for Kristen, I feel if you cast someone else in the roles she has played, then those characters would completely lose their charm. She has a certain mesmeric aura which one cannot put a value on, it's about her micro-mannerisms and the way she uses her eyes so so powerfully like you mentioned. A whole study can be done on how she uses her hands in Personal Shopper. P.S. Would also like to add Certain Women, Camp X-Ray, Equals and Speak to that list you mentioned at the end, but I usually enjoy her in almost everything I've seen of hers.
Speak is definitely her most underrated performance. For a 14 year old Kristen Stewart, she was amazing in that movie. And all she really need is just a great script and a great director to work with she would be fine
I'm excited for her portrayal of Diana in Spencer. She's a good actress, to be honest. She just gets overshadowed by her Twilight days. PS PLEASE DO JESSICA LANGE!
As a long time K stan, I learned nothing. 😂Agree w/your assessments, especially love that scene at the end of "Still Alice." Hope you're able to see & enjoy "Spencer"!
Remember when Charlie’s angels came out and a lot of guys were calling it a SJW propaganda for women superiority over men and all this other crap, ……. well when the movie came out my Military camp showed it on base for the troops and we had thousands of US. Marines chanting and cheering for The movie especially for when ever Kristen was on screen
Great vid! She’s come a long way. Always been one of the most talented and hard working actors working today. She deserves all the love and rave reviews coming her way for Spencer. She was just a teenager when the world started criticizing her harshly because of the fame that came with being in a franchise. Despite the unfair judgments, she never stopped working her butt off nor resented her haters and bad experiences. Hope she gets all the awards she deserves for her talents and hard works!
Had my eye on Kristen since Panic Room. She really is under appreciated as an actor. I really liked her performance in the Cake Eaters. That's a movie that doesn't get talked about a lot. And her performance in Lizzie, particularly the final act of the movie, really blew me away.
The Cake Eaters!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! She nails SUCH a challenging set of skills required to portray a character gradually losing her ability to move AND SPEAK. (sadly, I have yet to watch Lizzie)
She gets too much hate for Twilight when the fact that she did great in Twilight. If anyone had read the books, she truly nailed the personality of Bella, Bella was written the way how Kristen would performed her. If anything Twilight has a problem, it's just the script, dialogue, CGI, and directing, it's definitely not her fault at all and even the other cast members. She just need a better script and a great director to work with she would be fine. Speak is imo her most underrated performance, for a 14 year old Kristen Stewart she did great in Speak, flawless performance from her
Can't seemed to think why people hated her for her Twilight performance. To her defense, she did great in Twilight, if anyone have read the books, she truly nailed the personality of Bella. If anything Twilight has a problem, it's basically just the script, directing, dialogue, and CGI, it's definitely not her fault at all. She's just following what the script and the director says
She has always been a great actress, she just need a better script and director to work with. It has proven that in movies such as Panic Room, Speak, Adventureland, Still Alice, Clouds of Sils Maria, Cafe Society, Happiest Season, Certain Women, Camp X-Ray, those are some of her best movies and even Underwater and American Ultra had a cliche script but her performance was great in both movies. I'm glad that Spencer had Pablo Larrain directing the movie and Steven Knight writing the script, both are really great in their own job. With a great director like Pablo handling Kristen's performance, no doubt Kristen will give a great performance, possibly the best in her career
Thanks for your stunningly accurate review! After reading an intriguing (Guardian UK) review of ‘Personal Shopper’, I bought the DVD......& I’ve been backtracking ever since! I initially knew nothing of this Major Talent - & I find her low-key performances simply mesmerising; I have action-replay in my head - it’s the single closeup where she tries on the shoes in ‘Personal Shopper’ -- the silent stillness, & the beauty of her face, daring us to come closer......back in the day, TV stations would screen classic Garbo movies -- a Swedish actress who turned ‘aloneness’ into a cult - her intelligence & reserve were essential to her beauty, & tiny mannerisms spoke volumes, specifically in ‘Queen Christina’. It’s the Art of Cinema, & KS has it in spades! 🙏🏻🌹🙏🏽
Why are people complaining Kristen not looking like Diana? It's true tho, but is that even a problem even for biopics?? It's just a movie god dammit, she doesn't have to look exactly 100% like Diana. There have been many actors who played real life people but the actors themselves look nothing like the real life people. Take an example of Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy, she looks absolutely nothing like Kennedy but she managed to give an excellent performance and nailed the personality of Kennedy. Same goes to Kristen, as long as she can give a excellent performance and nailed the personality of Diana, it should be fine for her
From the director of Jackie helming the movie and the creator of Peaky Blinders writing the script, these two alone have me convincing that Kristen will give a great performance in Spencer
Totally agree with your assessment of Kristen Stewart, and I feel these apply similarly to Keanu Reeves too, whom many had complained of being “wooden”, yet is still one of the most respected actors now. Personally I much prefer their subtle yet effective acting as compared to those who are often over the top.
They say she’s wooded because they just saw them in twilight, which she was just following the script (probably some of the haters have never seen twilight in full anyway) and Snow White and not much else.

I've been a fan since Panic Room -- she's amazing. I would also add Adventureland. Great, great film.
Ooooh yes, Adventureland is awesome!
Great vid!

That photo as the header to this article with KS with her hair in a French roll? Stunning.

I 100% agree. She portrayed Bella perfectly! I hate how people bashed her acting ability because of Twilight.
I've noticed that a few youtube accounts follow whoever makes a positive video on Kristen to hate on her... Please get a job, A. Madison.
Fantastic! I'd love to see a "tough act to follow" video about Carey Mulligan 😄

Original talents, princesse de beauté 🌹🧡🌹💙🦋🤟🤟🤟🌸🍀
I remember watching the movie adaptation of “Speak” and I was in absolute awe of her performance. I’ve been a fan ever since!
I loved her on Certain women. Small character but so good

I swear to God if she doesn't get a Oscar for Spencer I'm going be upset.. It really does look like a great movie.

For me, Camp X-ray is Kristen's best movie so far. She is just so natural there.
Seeing Kristen playing a military is so unexpected but hey she was just amazing in that movie. She's so underrated as a versatile actress
Yes, she’s absolutely brilliant in Camp X-Ray!

Stewart's PR is working overtime as she has the talent and emotional range of a mannequin.
And you have the empathic range of a dead horse coming here with your garbage takes.
