it was played at my friend's (who was only 24) funeral and a few other children's show them tunes, my friend was ran over 4th October by a van whilst cycling to work was an accident, but tragic all the same.
I wish I could see SMart on the Road when Mark Speight and Bizi Lizi visited Southport Brownies in series 1 where they made a float for the Southport Carnival.
Now I do not watch the news (because not to sound rude or anything, I find it boring), so I had no idea Mark Speight was dead, when he was not on the episodes I thought he had retired, my Mother told me he had died and I thought that was very shocking and sad, I red about his death on Wikipedia, I also red that people were complaining about the newsreaders saying he had killed himself as it upset younger viewers, I think they were being idiots because you have to tell your children the truth, you can not say he went to a magical fairyland to live with the unicorns and dragons.

Smart's original theme music was composed by Kjartan Poskitt and was used from 1994 until 2002.
He was a children’s author as well!
It was hard to marry Mark Speight’s TV persona with the ignominious way he died. I loved watching him, either as Scratchy or on this show.
Man, this was an iconic tune. The presenters must've been proud. So proud I bet, that they'd want it played at their funerals.

This was one of my favourite shows growing up. I stopped watching it after Mark Speight died as it was no longer the same. R.I.P. Mark.
I stopped watching SMart after Josie D'arby got replaced by Kirsten O'Brien.
Me too but a year after the show stopped completely probably cos viewing figures dropped, Mark was the key to shows sucess in my eyes.
